- Killing minions or normal monsters grants 3 Hex Fragments.
- Killing epic monsters, siege units, or super minions grants 5 Hex Fragments.
- Champion takedowns grant 25 Hex Fragments.
Every 100 Hex Fragments Viktor gains permanently upgrades an active ability. When all of his basic abilities are upgraded, the Hexcore will be perfected, augmenting Chaos Storm.
Skill 1: Siphon Power

Deplos a gravity field for 4 seconds, slowing enemies within by 25%. After a short delay, the field applies a Gravitation stack to the target every 0.5 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. At 3 stacks, all stacks are consumed to stun the target for 1.5 seconds. The target then becomes immune to Gravitation for a short duration.
Upgrade – Slow: The first time Siphon Power, Death Ray, and Chaos Storm deal damage to enemies slow them by an additional 20%
Skill 3: Death Ray
Viktor fires a Chaos beam that cuts across the battlefield in a line, dealing magic damage to enemies in its straight-lined path.
Upgrade – Blastquake: On Upgrading the ability, an explosion follows the beam’s wake after a brief delay dealing damage to surrounding enemies.
Skill 4: Chaos Storm
Conjures a Chaos Storm at the target location for 5.5 seconds, dealing magic damage to enemies within the area and disrupting their channeled abilities. The storm then deals continuous magic damage to enemies within it every second.
Upgrade – Howl: Chaos Storm moves faster. Champion takedowns empower the storm, extending its duration by 3.5 seconds and increasing its area of effect. The storm can be empowered up to 5 times.
Notes
- Hold and drag the ability button after casting to direct the storm to another location.
- The closer the storm is to Viktor, the faster it moves.

League of Legends: Wild Rift Viktor Guide: Gameplay Tips
Viktor is a mage champion with lots of unique abilities, that allow him to poke and zone enemies effectively on the Rift. Coupled with the ability upgrades from his passive ability, Viktor will be able to dominate enemies during team fights easily via strategic positioning.
Early Game
Buy the Amplifying Tome as a starting item, then proceed to the mid-lane. On reaching the mid lane, place a ward near the bushes to grant extra vision over the surroundings, thus preventing unexpected ganks. Ward placement at strategic points is crucial to give your team an advantage on the Rift.
You can then proceed to clear out your minion waves while using your first skill to poke enemies. While laning with Viktor, always remember to last-hit the minions to gain extra gold and extra Hex Fragments useful for upgrading your abilities.
Unlock and use Viktor’s second skill for extra control and poke enemies from a farther distance. While using Viktor’s second skill, ensure to place it around the center of where enemies are, this will ensure that the Stun effect is triggered.
Using Viktor’s Death Ray ability after stunning and slowing enemies down with his second skill is highly recommended to ensure that the Chaos Beam sure hits enemies. You should note that Viktor excels at poking enemies from a farther distance, so you should make the best out of it. Nonetheless, focus on farming to gain and accumulate lots of Hex Fragments with Viktor which will in turn unlock powerful new upgraded abilities.
You should also pay close attention to the map, just in case enemies are ganking your team’s ADC or Jungler. A few early-game rotations would benefit your team, just in time for Rift Herald to spawn. To easily perform in the early game, one must use the following combo:
Skill 1 + Enhanced Basic Attack + Skill 2 + Skill 3
This Combo allows Viktor to easily harass enemies in the laning phase.
Mid Game
By assisting your team in securing jungle objectives like the Rift Herald, you and your allies will receive lots of bonus gold. You should then utilize the extra gold to prioritize some of your core build items, which include Luden’s Echo, Lich Bane, and Rabadon’s Deathcap.
With at least, two Damage items and an upgraded ability, Viktor’s ability combo will start to hurt. Core items like Lich Bane will greatly enhance and boost the damage output of the enhanced basic attacks from Viktor’s first skill. In the mid-game, it is advisable to prioritize farming to ensure your enhanced abilities are fully upgraded before proceeding to the late game.
Viktor’s ultimate ability can be really helpful to limit the potential of mobile enemy champions as it disrupts their skills giving your team the edge in crucial teamfights. When joined with Viktor’s upgraded second ability, enemies hit get slowed down allowing you to dish out maximum ability damage. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game using upgraded abilities via Viktor’s ultimate ability, then you should try out any of the following combos:
Skill 1 + Enhance Basic Attacks + Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Ultimate ability (Recast again)
Late Game
With all the necessary items with you, Viktor can be exceedingly powerful dealing burst AOE damage to enemies with his abilities. Do also keep in mind, that enemy champions are also quite as powerful so properly time the use of the Stasis enchants especially when facing a high burst damage dealer. Since positioning yourself matters the most, one must not engage alone since Viktor lacks much mobility.
Thus, Viktor should always ensure to be around his team’s Support or tank. Play safe while leveraging Death Ray and Chaos Storm for maximum impact during team fights. You should also prioritize helping allies secure major objectives and take down Epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons, as it would undoubtedly give your team the upper hand in each match.
