The much-anticipated free-to-play hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, has finally been released worldwide. Right now, Season 0 is ongoing, inaugurating the game and introducing the first-ever content fans. However, if you’re wondering when the next season starts, here’s everything you need to know.

In Season 0, Marvel Rivals has a total of 33 heroes, eight maps, three game modes, and a short Battle Pass. With the upcoming seasons, we’ll get to see more content and longer season durations with meatier Battle Passes to grind for.

Does Marvel Rivals Season 1 have a release date?

At the time of writing, we don’t know the exact release date of Marvel Rivals Season 1.

However, Guangguan, the game’s Creative Director has confirmed in the Dev Vision Volume 1 that “Season 0 will last around a month.” If we do the math, Season 1 could be released sometime in the week of January 6, 2025.

What can we expect from Season 1?

Like any other live-service game, we can expect NetEase Games to drop new characters, team-up abilities, maps, and game modes with the release of the new season.

Season 0 will be setting the meta and the devs will be taking note of that all the time. This means we can also expect them to buff certain Heroes while nerfing the ones that will be picked the most during this time.

The Season 1 Battle Pass is a given and like Season 0’s, it will last forever. You won’t be missing out on any rewards as a result.

What does the Marvel Rivals roadmap look like?

Guangguan has confirmed that Marvel Rivals seasons “will last around every three months.” If that’s their schedule, here’s what the game’s 2025 roadmap could look like:

  • Season 1 – January 2025
  • Season 2 – April 2025
  • Season 3 – July 2025
  • Season 4 – October 2025
  • Season 5 – December 2025

Of course, these are estimations and delays are always a possibility. We just need to wait for their official announcements before a new season drops or the old one is on the verge of getting over.
