The Last of Us Part II Remastered Comes To PC In April, Requires PSN Account

At The Game Awards 2024, Naughty Dog revealed that The Last of Us Part II will come to PC on April 3, 2025. It will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game will also require users to link a PSN account.

The PC version includes everything that the PlayStation 5 version has, such as roguelike survival mode No Return, the guitar free play, and the developer commentary on the Lost Levels. However, the required PC specs for the game haven’t been shared yet.

“The teams at Nixxes and Iron Galaxy have been hard at work in concert with Naughty Dog to ensure The Last of Us Part II Remastered is a thrill for PC players from the jump,” says a post on the PlayStation Blog. “We’ll be delving further into the PC-specific features and specs as we get closer to launch.”

The remaster takes a similar approach to The Last of Us Part I. It includes expanded accessibility settings like cinematic audio descriptions and speech-to-vibrations, the latter of which plays spoken dialogue using vibrations through the PS5 DualSense controller. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller have also been improved.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is available on PS5, and is enhanced on the PS5 Pro console. The second season of The Last of Us TV show adaptation is on track to release in Q2 2025.

PlayStation has caught controversy for requiring users to link PSN accounts when playing its first-party PC ports, including Ghost of War Ragnarok, Until Dawn remake, and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. The issue started with Helldivers 2, but Sony reversed it.
