Honkai: Star Rail has revealed the first official in-game look at Amphoreus, the next major location coming in Version 3.0. The world is rumored to be heavily influenced by Ancient Greece and its mythology. While some of Amphoreus’ characters had previously been teased, Honkai: Star Rail had not shared any details about its map before.
Honkai: Star Rail recently launched Version 2.7, the final update centered on Penacony before players are transported to Amphoreus in Version 3.0. Developers shared a short trailer of some of its characters and one Amphoreus unit, Aglaea, was confirmed to join the playable roster in the next patch. While earlier Honkai: Star Rail leaks revealed Amphoreus’ scenery, no further information has been shared about this new chapter called “Saga of Heroes.” Fortunately for fans, HoYoverse has finally shared the first formal look at the mysterious fourth playable world.

During The Game Awards, Honkai: Star Rail shared a new promotional trailer for the RPG, and it showcased some of Amphoreus’ landmarks. Per the video, Amphoreus is titled “The Eternal Land” and the Astral Express Crew is seen arriving in the new world. The locations shown highlight how Amphoreus’ design is a modern yet mystical take on ancient Greek architecture. A large statue of a Titan is shown looking over the planet, which players might recognize from a previous Amphoreus trailer. Finally, Castorice’s in-game model makes an appearance, teasing that she may play a key role in Amphoreus’ main storyline. Castorice is rumored to be among the upcoming playable Amphoreus characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Castorice is part of the Ordain of the Chrysos Heirs, a new main faction to be introduced in Version 3.0.

Since its release in April 2023, the game has gained a large fanbase, and the release of Amphoreus will likely attract both new and long-time players. Version 3.0 will reportedly have many exciting rewards for gamers as well. Earlier Honkai: Star Rail leaks hinted at Amphoreus’ chest count, revealing that the world’s explorable cities will give players a ton of Stellar Jades. The update is rumored to grant fans a free 4-star character, too.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 is set to launch around mid-January, 2025. Aside from the release of Amphoreus, the update will debut the playable Path of Remembrance, which consists of a new summon gameplay mechanic. Two Remembrance characters have been confirmed as yet, the Trailblazer and Aglaea, but players can expect more units in the future. Players’ expectations of Honkai: Star Rail‘s Amphoreus era are high, but it won’t be long before they set foot in the new world.
