Horror fans who have been patiently waiting for the Scream 7 actors to be announced will be glad to know that another young star has been cast.
According to Deadline, Mckenna Grace has been cast in Scream 7. As the publication noted, her character hasn’t been announced yet. It would make the most sense if she played one of Sidney Prescott’s (Neve Campbell) daughter’s friends since the actresses are around the same age. She could also play one of Sidney’s teenage daughters. Grace has starred in a variety of genres, from the true crime miniseries A Friend of the Family to the dark dystopian TV drama The Handmaid’s Tale. Although she hasn’t appeared in many horror movies, she did star in the 2021 film Malignant. Grace has impressed more than a few people with her talent, and since she’s 18 years old now, her career is just getting started.

I Think These Scream 7 Ghostface Fan Theories Are Perfect
Ghostface is the most important part of the Scream franchise for many fans, and I like these two cool (and very different) fan theories from Reddit.
Scream 7 now has four young stars: Asa Germann from Gen Z and The Boys, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabel May. The latter will be playing Sidney’s daughter, which brings up the question of how old Sidney’s kids were in the previous installments. While the Core Four appeared in Scream (2022) and Scream 6, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega aren’t starring in Scream 7. And, since it’s unclear if Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding will reprise their roles of Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, it looks like the Core Four might be over. It will be interesting to see who these four new young adult characters are.
As story details haven’t been made public, Scream 7 fans have been thinking about what could happen to Sidney this time around. The seventh installment in the slasher franchise will be unique since it will be all about Sidney’s family. It makes sense for the horror franchise to pass the touch to some new teenage characters since that has always been the story’s heartbeat. Sidney has grown up throughout the franchise, and she was once a precocious and compelling high schooler who was shocked by the events in her small town of Woodsboro, California. There has been some speculation that Sidney’s child could be Ghostface and with four new cast members, it’s definitely possible that one of them will be behind the killing spree.
When Scream 7 is released on February 27th, 2026, hopefully Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) will be part of the cast, along with some other fan favorites such as Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere), Mindy Meeks-Martin, and Chad Meeks-Martin. Although the story may still be vague and mysterious, one thing is clear: Scream 7 is one of the most highly anticipated horror movies of 2026.
