- An Overwatch 2 fan concept imagines Lucio as Ben 10’s XLR8.
- Former collaborations in Overwatch 2 include My Hero Academia and Transformers.
- unfortunately, an official Ben 10 collaboration is unlikely.
An Overwatch 2 fan concept imagines a Lucio skin as the Ben 10 character XLR8. Ben 10 has become a Cartoon Network fan-favorite since its debut in 2005, and this Overwatch 2 skin concept could be perfect for Lucio.
Overwatch 2 recently entered Season 14, which comes with a new character, limited-time game mode, and plenty of fresh cosmetics. The game has opened the door for multiple collaboration ideas, with the latest example being a crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender. This collaboration was teased in the Season 14 trailer, but it has yet to appear in-game. Some former Overwatch 2 collaborations include My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, and Transformers. Since Ben 10 was canceled in 2008, Blizzard may have missed the boat with this collaboration concept shared by one fan.

Overwatch 2 Makes Charming Change to Two Maps
Overwatch 2 makes some small changes on a couple of maps in Season 14 that build off of the continued lore of Future Earth.
Reddit user Onframer recently shared two images highlighting their idea for a Ben 10 skin for Lucio. Like its inspiration, the fan art shows the Overwatch 2 Support hero as a humanoid Velociraptor. As a result, he has claws, a tail, three-toed feet, and wing-like protrusions on his arms. The alien-like skin is black, blue, and gray, with bright green highlights reflecting the Ben 10 connection. Lucio’s face is hidden behind a tear-drop-shaped helmet, and his Sonic Amplifier has a similar design to his body. Given that XLR8 has Sphere Skates, and he’s known for being speedy, this character has a lot in common with the hero that his appearance has been applied to.
This Is How a Ben 10 Collab Skin Might Look in Overwatch 2
As Cartoon Network likely has a copyright on Ben 10 characters, Blizzard may not be able to replicate this skin without collaborating with the company. The futuristic design of the XLR8 may not match the Overwatch 2 Season 14 Viking aesthetic, but it could fit in with a science fiction one. Because Ben 10 has many characters that are like XLR8, there may be plenty of untapped potential for a future crossover if the show ever returns. Other characters that could represent Overwatch 2 heroes include Wrecking Ball as Cannonbolt, Hazard as Diamondhead, Echo as Upgrade, and Reaper as Heatblast.
Given that Blizzard continues to update Overwatch 2 with new skins, something like this XLR8 concept could eventually be added. While Overwatch 2 x Ben 10 may be a popular collaboration idea, it’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. As part of the Warner Bros. merger with Discovery, Cartoon Network has undergone some significant changes behind the scenes.
