Atlyss is an RPG that only gets difficult with every new area. There are plenty of dungeons and other places to explore and each of them is filled with enemies who are ready to give you a tough time if you’re not prepared for it and the only way to deal with them is to become stronger.
There are plenty of ways to gain experience and prepare for any new areas you plan to explore. As you level up, you’ll be able to fight against stronger enemies, use better equipment, and take on new quests and dungeons that were previously locked behind a level requirement.
How To Level Up Fast In Atlyss
At the start of the game, you can easily level up by defeating regular enemies in dungeons or the Outer Sanctum area. However, once you cross level 10, leveling up becomes a lot more difficult as defeating enemies alone isn’t enough to gain levels quickly.
You can’t keep defeating the same enemy over and over to gain experience. Once you’re a few levels ahead of an enemy, you won’t get any experience from defeating them. Compared to that, if you plan to fight against an enemy that is several levels ahead of you, some of your attacks might be missed, but you will gain a ton of experience for defeating them.
It is recommended to fight against enemies that are of a similar level to you, instead of taking on opponents that are several levels ahead.
Exploring Dungeons
Dungeons are designed to make you fight against opponents that are slightly stronger than you at first, but as you keep playing, you’ll slowly overcome the level gap and will be able to challenge every enemy comfortably.
If you die in a dungeon, you automatically respawn at the Resurrection Point inside the dungeon, and can immediately return to where you were defeated and resume the challenge from where you left off. Completing challenges inside a dungeon also rewards you with chests, which may contain a weapon or a piece of equipment.
Taking On Repeatable Quests
Each of the guardians in the Sanctum may offer plenty of repeatable quests. These quests may simply require you to defeat a certain type of enemy a specific number of times, clear a dungeon, or defeat a boss.
Taking on these quests before you head to a dungeon or an area to farm for experience is also a great idea because you’ll be able to reap the benefits of both. Completing repeatable quests grants you a ton of experience and crowns, and may also reward you with valuable items.
You can take up to five different quests at a time.
Buying Tomes Of Experience
A Tome of Experience costs around 3200 crowns and offers 780 experience, while the Tome of Lesser Experience costs 750 crowns and grants you 150 experience when consumed. While the price may sound absurd early on, you will have plenty of crowns to spare as you make progress in the game.
You can buy these tomes from Sally inside her shop, which is just beside Angela’s abode inside the Sanctum. However, buying experience like this isn’t the most efficient way to level up, and should only be used when you’re short on a little experience and don’t want to do another run of a dungeon.
