How To Beat The Ropalolyst In Warframe

The Ropalolyst is a flying Eidolon boss in Warframe, accessible through an Assassination node on Jupiter. This boss drops the blueprints needed to craft the Warframe Wisp, so you’ll probably be fighting the Ropalolyst a few times to gather all the necessary blueprints.

Like a lot of boss fights in Warframe, the Ropalolyst can be difficult until you know what you’re doing, then it’s just a matter of executing the correct strategy. Below, we’ll take a look at how to beat the Ropalolyst, including some recommended Warframes and weapons to bring to the fight.

Best Loadout For The Ropalolyst

Wisp Prime equipped with a Rubico, Pyrana Prime, and Kinana Prime to fight the Ropalolyst.

The Ropalolyst only takes damage from specific mechanics throughout the fight, meaning most damage-dealing Warframe abilities won’t be that helpful. Because of this, we recommend bringing a tanky Warframe that can survive the Ropalolyst’s bigger attacks, like Hildryn, Revenant, or Inaros.

Warframes with healing abilities can also be used, as long as you have high enough health and armor to not be one-shot by the Ropalolyst’s laser attacks.

For your weapon, anything that can target specific points on the boss will work, like sniper rifles. Essentially, any weapon that you would bring to an Eidolon Hunt will work well here. The Ropalolyst is weak to Radiation damage, so be sure to mod whichever weapon you pick for this element.

Some weapons to consider are the Rubico or Vectis, or their Prime versions if you have them. Alternatively, if you have the Voidrig Necramech, its built-in Exalted Weapon, the Arquebex, is amazing for this fight.

You won’t need to use your Operator too much for this fight, but using a decent Amp will help.

How To Beat The Ropalolyst

The player running on a wire towards the Ropalolyst as it sends electrical charges down the wire.

The fight against the Ropalolyst will take place in a large, open arena, with three energy cylinders placed to the north, east, and west. As you approach one of these cylinders, using the wires that connect the two platforms, the Ropalolyst will fly to it and begin sending electrical charges down the wires.

Jump over these, using each of the four wires as necessary. When you reach the platform, the boss will charge and then fire a laser at you. Avoid this by standing behind the cylinder, which will incidentally charge it up.

Now, head back to the main platform and use your Operator’s weapon to deplete the Ropalolyst’s shield. With its shield down, you can now jump close to the boss, at which point you will see the prompt ‘Grab Ropalolyst’. Do this to gain control of the boss, then direct it towards the charged-up cylinder.

This will cause the Ropalolyst to land in the center platform. Now, you will need to shoot the small metal canisters on its back. You only need to take out one of these canisters, so focus your fire on either the left or right one.

The player activating the Terran Charger to deal damage to the Ropalolyst after it has been knocked down.

Once the canister is destroyed, the Ropalolyst will fall down. Next, quickly move to the control panel near the entrance to the arena, and interact with it fire the Terran Charger, which will strike the Ropalolyst with a massive laser.

If you don’t activate the laser fast enough, the Ropalolyst will get back up, and you’ll have to destroy one of its canisters again to bring it back down.

You’ll now need to repeat this process two more times, using the two remaining energy cylinders.

On the third time the Ropalolyst goes down, its whole body will become vulnerable instead of just the canisters on its back. Once you reduce the boss’s health to zero, activate the laser for the third time, and the Ropalolyst will be defeated.
