A reliable Helldivers 2 leaker and dataminer has found evidence of a potential Killzone crossover in the files of the game’s Omens of Tyranny update.
Yesterday’s showing of The Game Awards was so packed with surprise reveals and announcements, that it was hard to keep track of everything that was highlighted during the four-hour showcase. The Witcher 4, Elden Ring Nightreign, Okami 2, and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet are some of the biggest that come to mind, but we can’t forget about good old Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2 Should Have Revealed The Illuminate Months Ago

Not only did Helldivers 2 end up winning the award for Best Ongoing Game, but it also finally revealed the big update that we’ve all been waiting for – Omens of Tyranny, which introduces the long-awaited Illuminate. That update actually ended up shadowdropping yesterday, which has given players a whole lot of new content to pour over.
Helldivers 2 Leak Suggests A Killzone Warbond
While there’s already plenty of new Helldivers 2 goodness for players to officially take a look at, the new update has also inevitably led to leaks and datamines of things we’re not supposed to see just yet. One such discovery was made by reliable Helldivers 2 leaker Iron_S1ghts, who shared their discovery on Twitter shortly after the update dropped.
According to an image that’s been found within the files of Helldivers 2 after the Omens of Tyranny update, a new Premium Warbond (essentially a Battle Pass) is currently in the works that will seemingly add crossover content from Killzone. The leaked image suggests the Warbond, which is called Righteous Revenants, will add skins based on Killzone’s primary enemy faction – the Helghast.
It’s been far too long since I’ve played Killzone, so I’m not sure if the Helghast soldiers are also wielding unique weapons that will be included in the Warbond. It does make sense for it to be more than two skins, though.
Iron_S1ghts sadly didn’t reveal anything else about the leaked Warbond other than what we can see in the image, but it already being in the files does suggest it’s close to release. Killzone is a crossover that fans have been talking about for some time, as it makes a lot of sense considering the Helghast are PlayStation’s other well-known helmet-wearing soldiers.
For now, though, we don’t know enough about the potential Premium Warbond to say with certainty whether it’s definitely coming or just something that was considered at one time. With Killzone on the back burner for more Horizon games, let’s hope that it’s real and that the first Helldivers 2 crossover is at least one in the realm of possibility.
