The most popular new mode this season has been Fortnite OG, a flashback to the game’s early days but this time it’s here permanently. It’s becoming a fun mode for serious players too, your average OG lobby has way more sweats than elsewhere. That means Fortnite OG Ranked will be a perfect fit. We’ve now got confirmation that this part of the mode is arriving very soon.
In a recent announcement, we’ve learned that Fortnite OG Ranked will be launching soon. Like the other modes, this game will also allow you to climb the Fortnite Ranks too soon! We already have a Ranked mode for the main game Battle Royale, and even Fortnite Reload. However, OG is a particularly new addition to competitive play. What can we expect from the mode and its gameplay?

What is Fortnite OG Ranked?
In Fortnite (and most games), things are separated into casual play and Ranked. For Fortnite, we call the first section pubs. With Ranked being the more serious mode. In this side of the game, you’re match made with those at your skill level. Your performance affects this rank, so you can go up or down depending on your performance.
Fortnite already offers ranked for tons of its modes. It’ll be interesting to see it turn up for Fortnite OG too though. This game mode didn’t always have a ranked mode and the old arena playlist was quite different to the modern approach to Ranked for the game. It’ll also have the changes between OG and season 1. It’ll make for a different way to play, and hopefully help those who want to take things seriously concentrate on Ranked gameplay.
When Will It Release?
Fortnite Ranked has just been unveiled by Epic! This new game mode will be launching very soon. It’s going to release on December 16th, on this date we’ll be able to jump in and see what initial rank is given for original Fortnite gameplay.
Fortnite OG Ranked will make the upcoming OG tournaments a bit easier to run. Not to mention ranks helping out fans looking at Fortnite betting for the OG mode’s events. We don’t have to wait too long until it’s revealed.
