At The Game Awards 2024, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be heading to PC on January 23, 2025.
The trailer doesn’t really offer any information about the required specs for the game on PC, but those who preorder it on either Steam or the Epic Games Store can receive a 30% discount up until February 6.
Like its predecessor, Final Fantasy VII Remake, there’s still no word on whether the game will come to Xbox. However, co-director Naoki Hamaguchi said that he wants to bring it to more platforms. PC is a start, at least.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has nominations for six categories at The Game Awards 2024, including the coveted Game of the Year category. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will also not have any DLC because the development team is looking to get the third installment of this remake trilogy out as soon as possible.
In GameSpot’s Final Fantasy VII Rebirth review, we said, “Rebirth keeps its narrative focus on characters while bringing a new dimension to combat, but it stumbles in pivotal moments.”
