Summary
- Epic Mickey Rebrushed has had its price unexpectedly slashed at GameStop.
- Right now you can get what is usually a $60 Steam key for just $7.99, a discount of almost 90 percent.
- It’s unclear if the price cut is a mistake, but it seems unlikely since the reduction has been live for a while.
The game release wheel never stops turning, but it does tend to slow down at this time of year. A chance for gamers to look back at 2024 and catch up on the games they missed, maybe even picking up a few of them for less if they’re on sale. If Epic Mickey Rebrushed is one of those games, you’re going to want to buy it now since for some reason, GameStop is selling the PC version for just $7.99.
Epic Mickey Rebrused was only released in September, but since it shared a month with the likes of Astro Bot and The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom, there’s a strong chance it was a game you skipped and promised you’d get back to. If you had bought it when released you’d have paid $59.99 for it. If you get it at GameStop right now through the link below, you’ll be bagging yourself a still very new game for almost 90 percent less.

Epic Mickey Rebrushed is an undeniable improvement over the original, but a fresh coat of paint can’t fix the pointless morality system.
Usually markdowns like this are a mistake, but this one doesn’t appear to fall into that category. Not only have we tested the discount ourselves and been able to checkout with the game and then activate the key on Steam, but the price reduction has been live for quite a while now. If these things are done by mistake, the page tends to be quickly taken down while the error is fixed.

Mistake Or Not, Get It While You Can
They also often happen in the middle of the night or the early hours of the morning when not many people are around to notice the accidental price drop and take advantage of it. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, for example, was accidentally, and very briefly, listed as free on Humble. That mistake was quickly reversed and the sales revoked, even if you had already activated the Steam key you nabbed for free on the brand new game’s release day.

There’s a chance the same will happen to GameStop’s $8 copies of Epic Mickey, although right now, that doesn’t appear to be likely. It’s simply a newish game that has been heavily discounted without much fanfare meaning you can get it now for a lot less than most others will have paid. Even if it is an intentional price reduction, I wouldn’t hang around. I can’t imagine it will be available for this little for long.
If you’re on the hunt for other discounted games to play this holiday season, PlayStation’s Game Awards sale is now live and includes some very big titles. Helldivers 2, Metaphor: ReFantazio, and Final Fantasy 7’s Rebirth & Remake Twin Pack are all among the games you can get on PlayStation for less for a limited time.
