Diablo 4 is rolling out a new holiday-themed global community challenge event for December 2024, titled Slay Ride to Hell. The community event is scheduled to hit Diablo 4 in mid-December, and all participating players will be able to unlock some pretty significant rewards depending on how many goblins are slain before the event ends.
Launched in June 2023, the action-RPG dungeon crawler has seen a resurgence of late thanks to the Vessel of Hatred DLC that was released in early October 2024. That expansion has provided more content for both solo and multiplayer fans of the game, though community-based events like World Boss raids continue to dominate the multiplayer scene.

Even at the lowest tier, the rewards are significant, as players will be able to unlock some great Diablo 4 weapons. Tier 1 rewards include a Legendary Weapons Cache with three Ancestral Legendary Items with a guaranteed Greater Affix, which has the potential to give players a big boost. Even better weapons can be unlocked at higher tiers, with a Unique and Legendary Weapons Cache at tier 2, Unique Weapons at tier 3, Ancestral Uniques at tier 4, and Ancestral Uniques and Ancestral Legendary Items at tier 5. There are also some special items to be found, like the Fruit of the Harvest Trophy at tier 3, Harvest Mare’s Totem Trophy at tier 4, and Harvest Mare’s Barding Armor at tier 5.
While all participating players will be able to claim some of the rewards, those who have picked up the Vessel of Hatred expansion are in for additional treats, as each tier includes at least two rewards that are only available to players who have purchased the DLC.
