During The Game Awards 2024’s opening act, Mintrocket officially unveiled Dave the Diver: In the Jungle, a new DLC expansion coming in late 2025 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Dave the Diver was a smash hit for Mintrocket when it launched for PC in 2023 and has continued to flourish with Switch and PlayStation versions launching just a few months later, as well as numerous DLCs that have kept fans engaged with the quirky action-adventure and management game for well over a year.
Since its release, Dave the Diver has collaborated with Godzilla, Balatro, Potion Craft, and many more. The game’s first major crossover was with the popular single-player fishing adventure game Dredge, adding a new character, customers, boat controls, drain gun, fish types, and a special Dredge system. While the Dredge DLC was a paid expansion, Mintrocket later went on to collaborate with Godzilla in a massive free content update that launched alongside the game’s PlayStation 4 version back in April.

Dave the Diver: In the Jungle DLC Revealed
It looks like Dave the Diver is taking a break from its many collaborations to launch a new DLC: In the Jungle, which will launch for PlayStation, Switch, and PC in late 2025, according to developer Mintrocket. There’s still a long wait until fans can get their hands on the new DLC, but Mintrocket says Dave the Diver: In the Jungle will introduce new friends, locations, and some thrilling new discoveries. The trailer, which can be viewed below, shows Dave and his crew taking the boat and heading deep into an unknown Jungle where they are met by a new figure in a Jeep.
In the Jungle was announced during the opening act of the massive 2024 Game Awards, which saw some of the biggest announcements of the year. Naughty Dog, the studio behind hit titles such as The Last of Us, Uncharted, and Crash Bandicoot, revealed its next original IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, while FromSoftware blew fans away with another Elden Ring adventure known as Nightreign, which will launch in 2025. As for the coveted Game of the Year winner, Team Asobi took home the award for Astro Bot, beating Metaphor: ReFantazio, Black Myth: Wukong, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and Balatro.
Dave the Diver fans were thrilled to see the titular character embark on another adventure, but the new DLC shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. After the title found huge success last year, Mintrocket has made it clear that it has ambitious plans for the future of Dave the Diver. The game’s creator, Jaeho Hwang, recently said he wishes to expand the IP with new games focused on individual characters’ backstories, while also exploring new genres. For fans of Dave the Diver, it looks like Mintrocket still has plenty more to come, with In the Jungle becoming the next of many adventures for the beloved character.
