This Warhammer 40K gaming PC build is simply outstanding. Inspired by the Ultramarine space marine chapter from the classic tabletop game, this PC build was made to participate in the 2024 Thermaltake CaseMOD Academy competition, and I love it.
This Thermaltake sponsored build doesn’t just look great, but it also has the specs of a very powerful gaming PC. The Intel Core i7 14700K is still a powerhouse gaming CPU, while the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti makes for a great mid-tier Nvidia graphics card. Not only are these the sorts of specs often found in some of the best gaming PC designs out there right now, but all the gear is housed in a fantastic Warhammer 40K-themed case, covered in purity seals, with the aquila eagle sign of the imperium on the top.
This incredible Warhammer PC build caught my eye in a post at builds.gg, the popular PC build community website. The builders Artificer & Neophyte (or Tom and Jay, as they’re also known) took care of their MK.V1 Battlestation build to showcase their love for the Warhammer 40K universe and act as a homage to Space Marine 2, which released just a few months ago.
Considering it was built for the Thermaltake CaseMOD competition , there are a number of its products used in this build. The Thermaltake CTE E600 PC case has been heavily customized with additional 3D printed components, including a built-in screen with keypads, while a 1,200W Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 80+ Gold PSU powers it. There’s also 32GB of Thermaltake RAM, rated to 5,600MT/s.
Outside of the Thermaltake brand, however, the PC uses a full-size Asus ROG Strix Z790-F motherboard, as well as a Samsung 990 Pro M.2 SSD with 2GB of storage. Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Ti is a Zotac-branded model, the GeForce AMP Extreme Airo, with three fans and the modders adding yellow and black hazard stripes to the cooler shroud.
I see too many PC builds that lack personality (and no, RGB doesn’t count), so seeing a gaming PC that looks like this one is really exciting. The blue and yellow color scheme makes for an appealing contrast on the desk, but I like the added extras that make this a real Warhammer 40K-themed treat. I especially like the Servo skull with a built-in webcam at the top—it’s functional, but with a gothic twist.
Sadly, you can’t buy this build yourself, but you can go take a closer look at it if you’re in the UK. Right now, it’s on display in the Intel store on London’s busy Oxford Street, so if you have some Christmas shopping planned, you might want to drop in and have a look for yourself.
One last thing – did this build win? Yes, it did, netting Tom and Jay the $2,500 prize for first place. Kudos to Tom and Jay for this one, it’s definitely a build to inspire any Warhammer 40K fan, and a worthy winner indeed.
