Pokémon Unite Tinkaton Movesets
Tinkaton is a melee All-rounder-type Pokémon in Pokémon Unite that has lots of damage capabilities, making it a powerful ally. Its abilities provide lots of attack buffs making it easier for it to effectively outdamage other Pokémon. Combined with the offensive perks of its basic attack and passive ability, Tinkaton can easily out-damage other Pokémon early on.
Tinkaton evolves 3 stages of evolution: Tinkatink (Lvl. 1), Tinkatuff (Lvl. 5), Tinkaton (Lvl. 7)
Basic Attack
As the user evolves, its hammer’s size and basic attack range increase. Whenever a set amount of time passes, the next basic attack becomes a boosted attack, dealing increased damage and restoring the user’s HP. When the user is hit by a basic attack from an opposing Pokemon, this boosted attack’s cooldown is reduced.
Passive: Mold Breaker
This Pokemon deals additional damage to opposing Pokémon that have an active shield effect. Each time this Pokémon hits another Pokémon from the opposing team with moves or boosted basic attacks, its hammer becomes stronger and its Attack increases (up to 60 times maximum). Also, after the hammer is strengthened 20, 40, and 60 times, Rock Smash, Gigaton Hammer, and Smackdown power up.
Ability 1 – Fairy Wind
Has the user stir up a fairy wind in the designated direction, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokemon it hits.
Ability Choices at Level 5
Upon reaching Level 5, Tinkaton can select either of the following two moves:
Ice Hammer | Thief |
---|---|
Has the user leap in the designated direction and swing down its freezing hammer, dealing damage, applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect, and decreasing their Attack and Sp. Atk for a short time. | Increases the user’s movement speed for a short time. When the user is moving toward an opposing Pokemon affected by hindrances, its movement speed is further increased. Also, when the user deals damage to opposing Pokemon with its next basic attack, the user steals and uses a portion of the Pokemon’s Defense and Sp. Def for a short time. |
Upgrade: Further decreases Attack and Sp. Atk | Upgrade: Increase the amount of Defense and Sp. Def the user steals. |
Ability 2 – Rock Smash
Has the user swing down its hammer with rock-crushing force, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect and leaving them unable to act. The stronger the hammer, the larger this move’s area of effect.
Ability Choices at Level 7
At Level 7, either of these two moves becomes available:
Gigaton Hammer | Smackdown |
---|---|
Has the user charge power before swinging down its hammer, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon in the area of effect, and throwing them. The longer power is charged, the more damage this move deals, and the longer opposing Pokemon are thrown. The stronger the hammer, the larger this move’s area of effect. | Has the user charge power, then use its hammer to send a rock flying to the designated location, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon at the rock’s point of impact and applying a slowing effect to them. The longer power is charged, the farther the rock can fly. The stronger the hammer, the farther the rock can fly. |
Upgrade: Reduces this move’s cooldown | Upgrade: Reduces this move’s cooldown. |
Unite Move: Kiss Bliss Kaboom

Pokémon Unite Tinkaton Guide: Gameplay Tips
Our Pokémon Unite Tinkaton Guide will now discuss how to play or a perfect game plan for the Pokémon, across the game. The following division has two sections of the early and late game, which players must make sure to read, till the end.
Early Game
Tinkaton is an Allrounder-role Pokémon that is quite powerful as it becomes stronger the more it fights. Regardless, it is advisable to use Tinkaton in the Top/Jungle Lane, there Tinkaton will be able to stack up, farm, and get stronger the more it attacks enemies. While using Tinkaton, First unlock Rock Smash as it has a higher base damage and control making it easier to farm apioms and level up.
Level up to unlock, Fairy Wind to slow down enemies and deal damage to them from a ranged distance. While using Tinkaton, it is advisable to hit wild Pokémon or opposing enemy Pokémon and stack up the passive of Mold Breaker. Mold Breaker makes Tinkaton’s abilities grow stronger and better over time, granting extra Attack range and boosting the ability’s overall damage.
As an All-rounder-type Pokémon, ensure to farm up and rotate to help your allied attacker-type Pokémon farm and get stronger. While rotating across lanes, ensure to mark the opposing team’s support as Tinkaton deals more damage to them. Apart from getting stronger and better the more it fights, Tinkaton can also be annoying due to how it reduces the enemy’s Sp. Atk and Sp. Def. with its evolved abilities.
On leveling up to attain level 5, you would get to choose between Ice Hammer and Thief. Both abilities are powerful as they both can reduce enemies’ attack potential by reducing the Sp. Defense or Sp. Atk. Both abilities are powerful and useful in their own way, the final pick is dependent on the enemy’s composition. Nonetheless, your ability pick would determine what kind of combo you will use with Tinkaton, some of the ability combos include:
- Ice Hammer + Gigaton Hammer
- Thief + Smack Down
Late Game
On leveling up to Level 7, Tinkaton evolves and can choose which ability best combos with the previously selected Level 5 ability. When choosing the best combo, you would be able to easily stack up Tinkaton’s passive and secure major objectives for your team.
On unlocking Tinkaton’s Sure-hit Unite move, it is best used during core teamfights as it leaves enemies unable to act while the ability is active, thus giving you and your teammate an edge during team-fight. Using the Unite move again allows Tinkaton to slam the ground and deal more damage to all surrounding enemies, making this ability a powerful and annoying Unite move during teamfights.
Therefore, it’s best to save Tinkaton’s Unite move for important teamfights, such as when trying to get Rayquaza or Zapdos. In short, farm, level up, and use your disable or control abilities to mark enemy main Attacker-type Pokémon, so your team can easily take it down and gain the edge. Do also remember to focus on scoring /defending goals and taking objectives with your teammates and you’ll be just fine with Tinkaton.
Positioning of Tinkaton
The best path for Tinkaton is the Top/Jungle Lane. Early on, Tinkaton should focus on leveling up, stacking its passive, and rotating across lanes to help allied attackers score and accumulate points for the team.
