Starfield’s New Doom Content Explained

Thanks to the Creation Club, Starfield now has all-new Doom content, offering players fresh features inspired by the sci-fi RPG franchise. Even better, all the Doom content available for Starfield is free, bringing a fun crossover to life for fans of both games. The Creation Club has been a hub for crossover content in Starfield, and bringing Doom into the fold brings a horror edge to Bethesda’s space adventure.

Crafted by Kinggath Creations, the mod, titled At Hell’s Gate, brings some of Doom‘s most iconic features into the spotlight. Horrifying demonic creatures, special armor, and a mini-quest aim to bring hell to Starfield‘s galaxy, and it appears that Kinggath Creations nailed the general vibe of Doom with this mod. While some Creation Club mods, like the Trackers Alliance quest, have caused controversy because of cost, At Hell’s Gate’s free price tag makes it an exciting mod that everyone can enjoy.

When completing the quest in At Hell’s Gate, players will be able to unlock all the content listed, turning one’s character into a bona fide new version of the Doom Slayer. Mods in the Creation Club have continued to bring other popular sci-fi franchises, like Star Wars, to the world of Starfield, but Doom is a thrilling change of pace from other crossovers. Also, the addition of some solid horror content brings something fresh to the game that many players will likely be interested in.

In order to activate the quest in At Hell’s Gate, players have to approach a SSNN broadcast pillar in one of the following cities: New Atlantis, Cydonia, Akila City, or Neon.

Starfield‘s first major DLC, Shattered Space, was teased as a cosmic horror expansion, but unfortunately, it lacked any actual scares. It shed more light on the mysterious House Va’ruun, but it was unable to deliver on the horror vibe that was teased in its announcement trailer. Now, thanks to the work of Kinggath Creations, some solid space scares can be brought to Starfield‘s gameplay. Of course, horror-inspired crossovers may not be for every player, but for fans of the Doom series and cosmic horror, At Hell’s Gate brings a bit of special spice to the base game.

Creation Club Could Be the Key to Great Additional Starfield Content

While DLCs, like Shattered Space, and surprise updates, like the REV-8 vehicle, can bring more to the game, the Creation Club has been the epicenter for great crossovers. Becoming a verified Creator for Creation Club is no easy task, as it takes a lot of hard work to prove one’s worth as a modder worthy of official Bethesda recognition. The Creation Club may not be perfect, but free mods that bring something special to the game, like At Hell’s Gate, are some of the shining points of the platform.
