PlayStation has been doing all sorts to celebrate turning 30 and even though the day itself has now been and gone, the celebrations will continue. Next on the agenda is a contest in which 30 lucky PlayStation owners can bag themselves 30 free months of PlayStation Plus Premium.
PlayStation announced the competition a couple of weeks ago. However, its doors weren’t opened until this week, and the announcement was made at the same time as quite a few other exciting anniversary announcements including December’s Essential offerings and the long-awaited arrivals of Sly 2, Sly 3, and Jak and Daxter on PS Plus Premium.

The 30 months of Premium contest officially began on Tuesday and you have until December 23, 2024, to get your entries in. There are technically more than 30 lots worth of 30 months since PlayStation will be selecting 30 winners from each of the 27 countries eligible to enter the contest. The US and the UK are both among the 27 countries participating, and the full list can be found on the PlayStation Blog.
PlayStation Is Giving Away 30 Months Of PS Plus Premium
To 30 People In 27 Countries, Whether You’re Already Subscribed Or Not
If you don’t already have a Premium subscription (or the Deluxe tier of PS Plus in parts of the world where it’s available), to enter, you will need to sign up to the subscription service’s highest tier and play at least one game from its Classics Catalog. If you’re already a Premium subscriber then entering is even easier. You just need to do the second step and play a game from the Classics Catalog since you’re already signed up.
It doesn’t matter if you were already a Premium subscriber before the contest began, anyone who has Premium, regardless of how long you’ve had it, will be in with a chance to win provided they have played something from the Classics Catalog within the competition period. That presumably means if you’ve already stacked your Premium and you win, PlayStation will simply tack 30 free months onto what you’ve already paid for at no additional cost.
PlayStation has not revealed which new games will be added to Premium’s Classics Catalog yet, although as noted above, it did give us a few iconic PS2 platformers a little early to celebrate its birthday. PlayStation’s 2024 Wrap-Up is also live now which is the platform’s take on Spotify Wrapped, providing a detailed breakdown of the games you played this year, and how long you played them for.
