Nintendo has a new way for you to drift off to sleep with Alarmo. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe scenes are now available on the alarm clock, with seven different options to owners of the device.
On X, the official Nintendo of America account announced the arrival of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Alarmo. Though the company noted owners must have the alarm clock connected to the internet as well as a Nintendo Account to receive the free update. Below are the newly added scenes:
- Mario Kart Stadium
- Twisted Mansion
- Dolphin Shoals
- Electrodrome
- Cloudtop Cruise
- Bowser’s Castle
- Rainbow Road
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is Nintendo’s best-selling game of all time, with one caveat. Wii Sports actually has sold more, but it was bundled with Wii. However, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has also been a part of Switch packages previously.
This isn’t the first update for Nintendo’s alarm clock. Alarmo got a day-one update after launching in October that introduced a Moderate Mode, Movement Record, and more. The Nintendo-themed alarm clock was announced out of nowhere on October 9–a surprising hardware reveal as people continue to clamor for Switch 2. The device launched with scenes from games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey.
There have been a couple of unofficial additions for the device, too. A hacker has brought cat pictures to Alarmo, as well as a playable version of Doom.
Alarmo is only available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers currently for $100. A wider release for the device is planned to happen next year.
