The ever-evolving world of Grand Theft Auto Online got a little bigger this week, as Rockstar Games released the new Agents of Sabotage update. The patch is available to download now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, adding a new Garment Factory business, new multi-part scores, Dispatch Work missions, enforcement vehicles, and much more. The update’s announcement already had fans theorizing over a potential GTA 6 teaser, but now the community has stumbled across an easter egg for one of the series’ most popular entries, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Grand Theft Auto Online Adds Vice City Easter Egg
Shortly after the release of Grand Theft Auto Online‘s newest update, fans began working their way through the game’s new FIB Files missions, which require players to complete multi-part setups similar to heists. In the final FIB Files mission, known as The Fine Art, players are required to complete three set-up missions before the big finale, which sees players steal some valuable pieces of art that are due to be put on a black market auction. One of the pieces of art is an Aztec statue, which was also used as the 100 hidden packages scattered around Vice City. When players smash the glass case and take the statue, they will hear the original pickup sound from the 2002 classic.
With Grand Theft Auto 6 confirmed to take place in Vice City, it’s no surprise that Rockstar has included a subtle nod to the entry that introduced players to GTA‘s take on Miami. Given that it has been 20 years since the original release of Vice City, Grand Theft Auto 6‘s take on the location is expected to be much more detailed and intricate, with the game’s only trailer giving fans a taste of what to expect when the title launches in Fall 2025.
Fans are still patiently waiting for a second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, but any hope of its release before the end of the year is quickly dwindling. Thankfully, the latest GTA Online update is now live and here to keep fans busy until Rockstar gives fans some sort of update on Grand Theft Auto 6. PC players also have more to look forward to in 2025, as Rockstar confirmed that it has plans to bring much-requested PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S features to the PC version of GTA Online in the new year.
