Neuvillette is one of the major faces in Genshin Impact Fontaine, being the Chief of Justice in the Land of Justice itself. He’s also known to be the Hydro Dragon, which further increases his popularity as people quickly assume he has higher strength than average Genshin Impact characters.
When it comes to playing Neuvillette, his main feature is his Charged Attack, where he unleashes a large surge of water torrent in a long distance forward. His Skill and Burst support the charging process of this ability by producing Sourcewater Droplet, which cuts down his charging time from a few seconds to an instant cast. Playing Neuvillette requires players to not only pay attention to the Droplet mechanics but to also ensure he reaches his top potential by feeding his second Ascension passive. The passive demands people to include frequent Elemental Reactions in Neuvillette team comp in Genshin Impact.

Updated on December 11, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: With better Supports in Genshin Impact, Neuvillette only grows stronger. The Chief of Justice is still one of the best DPS in Genshin Impact and it’s going to continue as long as new characters improve his DPS. Not only is Furina too overpowered with Neuvillette, but Xilonen also does a much better job than Kazuha in shredding enemies’ RES while buffing the Hydro Dragon. For that, this list will be updated to include all the new best Neuvillette team comps, including Furina and Xilonen.
1 Neuvillette + Furina + Xilonen + Zhongli
Having Zhongli and Furina in the same team greatly boosts Neuvillette’s Charged attack to deal some of the best DMG in Genshin Impact. Furina quickly buffs Neuvillette’s DMG as both of them are perfect for her Elemental Burst’s requirements. As for Zhongli, he shields Neuvillette and reduces enemies’ resistance to Hydro, which increases both the DPS of Neuvillette and Furina in Genshin Impact. Moreover, pairing Xilonen and Zhongli in the same team triggers the Geo Resonance on top of the Hydro Resonance to add HP and +15% extra DMG for Neuvillette’s attacks.
Xilonen can add so much to the team because of her debuff that she can smoothly trigger alongside her artifact set, Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, which grants the team a whopping 40% extra Elemental DMG. Not only that, but Xilonen’s signature weapon, Peak Patrol Song, also grants the team around 25% extra DMG.
Adding Xilonen to this team removes Elemental Reactions from it, which affects Neuvillette’s first Ascension Passive. However, it’s still possible to maximize his stacks through the Hydro Crystallize reaction since you only need to trigger it three times and each lasts for 30 seconds. On the other hand, once you get the buffs and debuffs ready, Neuvillette will start hitting slightly harder than his previous best team of Furina, Zhongli, and Kazuha in Genshin Impact. Only this time, the team’s buffs and debuffs last longer, allowing Neuvillette to stay longer on the field.
Team Roles
- Neuvillette: Main DPS, Hydro enabler
- Furina: Buffer, Sub-DPS, Hydro enabler
- Xilonen: Support, buffer, debuffer, healer
- Zhongli: Support, shielder, debuffer
2 Neuvillette + Furina + Kazuha + Zhongli
This Neuvillette team is working perfectly to maximize his damage while protecting him. Neuvillette and Furina are arguably the best pairs in Genshin Impact. What makes them so special is their synergy together. Furina wants her team to lose and gain HP in order to maximize her buff while Neuvillette’s mechanics greatly drop his own HP and then fully heal him back, instantly getting the most out of what Furina can offer without a healer.
Since Neuvillette will be attacking enemies with his Charged attacks non-stop, he should not be interrupted, and that’s where Zhongli can be useful. Not only does Zhongli provide a perfect shield for Neuvillette, but he also shred enemies’ RES from around Neuvillette, providing further buffs to the Iudex of Fontaine. Finally, Kazuha doesn’t need any introduction as he will collect enemies in one spot, massively reduce their resistance, and greatly increase Neuvillette’s Hydro DMG. This Neuvillette team in Genshin Impact is, so far, one of the best teams in the entire game.
Team Roles
3 Neuvillette + Sucrose + Lisa + Ororon
In this F2P Neuvillette team, Lisa, Ororon, and Sucrose all work together to trigger and maximize every Electro-charged reaction in Genshin Impact. There are two types of DPS in this team, the high DMG of Neuvillette and Ororon alongside the Supportive capabilities of Sucrose and Lisa. As the only source of Hydro, it only makes sense to keep Neuvillette on the field the longest to keep applying his Hydro Element, in addition to his high beam DMG.

Tenebrous Mimiflora is an abyssal monster in Genshin Impact that drops items such as Refractive Bud, Bewildering Broadleaf, and Illusory Leafcoil.
Lisa and Sucrose both debuff enemies’ DEF and RES to help increase every Electro-charged reaction and Neuvillette’s DMG. Build Lisa with 4-pc of Noblesse Oblige to give her a 20% ATK buff and maximize her Elemental Mastery so she can make the most of every Electro-charged reaction she triggers. Not only that, but as a Catalyst user in Genshin Impact, Lisa can wield Hakushin Ring, which further buffs everyone’s Electro and Hydro DMG. As for Sucrose, build her with 4pc of Viridescent Venerer so she can reduce enemies’ resistance to Hydro and Electro every time she triggers a Swirl reaction. Additionally, give her as much Elemental Mastery as possible so she can pass it on to her teammates.
Finally, Ororon shines when his team is built around the Electro-charged reactions since it helps him enter the Nightsoul’s Blessing state and that triggers the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City effect that grants Neuvillette 40% extra DMG. When he enters his Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Ororon will start dealing more Electro DMG and triggering more reactions. He can also taunt enemies to enter his Supersonic Oculus, which is very helpful considering both Lisa and Sucrose operate in a fixed area.
Team Roles
- Neuvillette: Main DPS, Hydro enabler
- Sucrose: Support, buffer, CC, debuffer (with VV)
- Lisa: Support, buffer, debuffer, Electro enabler
- Ororon: Sub-DPS, buffer, battery, Electro Enabler
4 Neuvillette + Furina + Raiden Shogun + Nahida
As a strong Hydro DPS who can continuously deal Hydro damage, Neuvillette can definitely lead a Hyperbloom team in Genshin Impact. With Furina by his side, Neuvillette’s Charged attacks are sure to be deadly to their opponents as they both enable Hydro all over the field. This is where Raiden and Nahida come in handy. Both Archons can easily apply Electro and Dendro to create Blooms and then trigger them into Hyperblooms.

Chiori’s kit is as sophisticated as her designs in Genshin Impact, so make sure to know these things before you begin to play her.
This team doesn’t need a healer since Raiden Shogun, Furina, and Nahida barely step on the field while Neuvillette is more than capable of continuously healing himself and maximizing Furina’s buff.
Team Roles
5 Neuvillette + Nahida + Xiangling + Zhongli
Neuvillette’s Ascension passive grants him higher Charged Attack damage when a party member triggers Hydro-related reactions, up to three stacks, so Neuvillette team composition in Genshin Impact should include at least two other reactive characters.
Against bosses, this team comp is amazing because:
- The party includes three Elements that can react with Hydro
- Zhongli provides reliable resistance to interruptions to ensure Neuvillette can Charge Attack smoothly
- Nahida will continuously apply Dendro and trigger Elemental Reactions as long as her Seeds of Skandha is available
- Xiangling is an excellent Pyro enabler and allows Neuvillette to Vaporize some of his hits
The way this team works is by using Zhongli’s Skill first, then applying Nahida’s Skill to the enemy. Then, cast Xiangling’s Skill and Burst to Burn the enemy, which allows Neuvillette to Vaporize his Elemental Skill. Next, Charge Attack with the Chief of Justice to apply Hydro, which will make Xiangling’s Pyronado trigger Vaporize. Due to Pyronado’s prominent Pyro application, the enemy will eventually be affected with Pyro and Burn with Dendro, allowing Neuvillette to Vaporize some of his Charged Attacks in the rotation.
Note that while this team is excellent against bosses or single-target opponents, it can be hard to maintain the Vaporize idea against hordes of enemies. Players also should remember not to be too far from the enemy as Pyronado has limited range.
Team Roles
6 Neuvillette + Baizhu + Raiden Shogun + Venti
Unfortunately, as Xiangling is currently the only reliable Pyro enabler and sub-DPS, the next multi-reaction team comp for Neuvillette involves the Hyperbloom reaction. While it’s not as good against bosses, the Hyperbloom/Electro-Charged combo is better against multiple enemies.

Baizhu will provide healing and shielding, which allows Neuvillette to Charge Attack without getting interrupted. Then, once the field is filled with Dendro Cores, Raiden Shogun’s Skill will apply Electro to trigger Hyperbloom. In the process, she’ll also trigger Electro-Charged for Neuvillette’s Ascension passive. Finally, Venti should Swirl Hydro to reduce the enemy’s Hydro RES and restore Energy for Neuvillette’s Burst. The grouping Venti provides will also come in handy for the Iudex’s water torrent. Neuvillette can easily aim towards enemies flying in Venti’s Vortex, and both Baizhu and Raiden Shogun will auto-target the enemies, so players don’t have to worry about the opponents being out of range.
Team Roles
- Neuvillette: Main DPS
- Baizhu: Dendro enabler, healer, buffer, debuffer (Deepwood Memories)
- Raiden Shogun: Electro enabler, Hyperbloom trigger, buffer
- Venti: Debuffer (Viridescent Venerer), battery, crowd control
7 Neuvillette + Nahida + Kuki Shinobu + Kazuha
There are many Hyperbloom teams players can use to create a Neuvillette team comp. For example, the viable Dendro characters are Nahida, Baizhu, Dendro MC, Kirara, Yaoyao, and Collei. As for Electro, people can use Kuki Shinobu, Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, or Dori. For the final slot, it can be either Anemo or Geo, but if the team has enough Reactions to maximize Neuvillette’s passive, then a second Hydro to increase HP is also a good option. Examples of units Travelers can use include Zhongli, Albedo, Lynette, Kazuha, Sayu, Venti, Sucrose, Kokomi, and Mona.
In this example, Kuki Shinobu is the one triggering Hyperbloom with Nahida enabling Dendro. Since Neuvillette is self-sufficient and can heal himself easily, the ex-Shrine Maiden’s healing is not too important, but will still come in handy if players take damage with other units. Just remember that this team doesn’t have a shielder, so Neuvillette must be positioned properly to avoid interruptions when using his Charged Attack. Meanwhile, Kazuha will debuff the enemy’s Hydro RES, buff Neuvillette’s Hydro DMG, and group the enemies all at the same time. Unlike the Venti team where Raiden Shogun can easily reach inside the Anemo Archon’s Burst, Kuki’s range is more limited, so Kazuha is a great replacement.
