Since Fortnite launched the Lego modes, they’ve done a few promotions to get them out there. Last year we got an initial free skin for checking out the main Lego Fortnite mode. This year, they’re doing something different but this time with two free skins. Both to celebrate the release of Fortnite Lego Brick Life. However, it’s a bit more complicated to unlock than just opening up the mode.

How to Link Lego Account to Fortnite
If you want to unlock the new offerings like the free Mr Dappermint Fortnite skin, it’s simple to get things set up. These are the steps for how to link Lego account to Fortnite.
- Make a Lego account, if you don’t already have one.
- Go to the Epic Games website
- Sign in to your Fortnite account
- Click on Account
- Find Apps and Accounts
- Find Lego out of the list
- Click Connect
- Go through the form to log in to a Lego account and link them
What Happens When You Link Your Account?
With Lego being a bigger part of Fortnite, it makes sense to link their ecosystems. What exactly happens though? At the moment, it’s a necessary step for unlocking free Fortnite skins. Beyond that, not very much. It doesn’t seem like you get a major change to gameplay or anything by linking them. However, it’s worth getting it sorted if you want to collect all of the free skins that you possibly can.
