How to Get Fortune Cookies in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete

Most of your furniture and clothing in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete can be crafted by Cyrus and Reese, or bought from the Market Place. If you’re looking for exclusive items, then you should consider buying Fortune Cookies. As you’d expect, each cookie contains a fortune, but the value of the fortune determines the type of Pocket Camp Complete furniture/clothing you’ll receive. If you see an item you want, you can try your luck, but you’ll need Bells and Leaf Tokens.

Where to Find Fortune Cookies in Pocket Camp Complete

Regular Fortune Cookies vs. Event Fortune Cookies

If you open your map in Pocket Camp Complete, you’ll see an icon with Timmy and Tom Nook. Select that, and it’ll take you to the Fortune Cookie Shop. Alternatively, you can warp to the Market Place and speak to Tommy. There are three types of fortune cookies you can buy for 500 Bells each, but only two will be displayed per day:

  • Tommy’s Fortune Cookie
  • Timmy’s Fortune Cookie
  • * Clothing Fortune Cookie

* You can also obtain Clothing Fortune Cookies by completing requests given to you by the animals.

You’ll receive furniture from the Tommy/Timmy’s Fortune Cookie, such as a Shogi Piece or a Red Boston Bag. Clothing Fortune Cookie items will give you a random clothing item that you would normally have to craft. Since these three types of cookies can be bought with Bells, you should get them if you have the money to spare.

Event/Special Cookies

Event Cookies rotate during in-game events. You’ll have over a dozen Event Cookie banners to choose from. Each banner has its own theme, such as Tutu’s cookie-bear cookie or Marcie’s sugared cookie. When you select the banner, you can pay 5 Leaf Tokens for 1 Event Cookie, or 25 Leaf Tokens for 5 Event Cookies. You’ll also receive 5 stamps for your Stamp Card and a bonus stamp, totaling to 6 stamps if you choose the 5 Event Cookies.

The furniture/clothing you collect from Event Cookies can’t be found elsewhere, so if there’s something you want, pay for the 5-pack. Just remember that you can’t get Event Cookies with Bells; you have to pay in Leaf Tokens.

At the bottom of the screen on the Event Cookies banner, there’s a Complete Cookie Catalog. Selecting this will bring you to a different screen where you can use Complete Tickets to exchange for one Special Fortune Cookie. Complete Tickets are very rare, but they’ll allow you to choose any Special/Event Cookie to draw from even if they’re not active during the in-game event.

Normally, the themes displayed in the catalog will take turns as the Event Cookies. For example, your banner may show Christmas-themed Fortune Cookies, but they’ll switch to something else in the Complete Cookie Catalog once the 20+ days are over.

Stamp Cards

For every cookie you eat, you’ll have one stamp added to your Stamp Card. Stamp Cards hold up to 10 stamps, and you’ll receive a new Stamp Card after meeting the requirements. By selecting Stamp Trade, you can get an item from the active Event Cookies for free. Bear in mind that not all items cost x1 Stamp Card. Depending on the rarity of the furniture, you may need x5 Stamp Cards or even x10 Stamp Cards.

Stamp Cards cannot be used to
trade for an item
in the Fortune Cookie Catalog. You can only use them on the current event banners.

Bronze, Silver, and Gold

If you select an Event Cookie, you can see the prizes. They’re rated on a scale of 3-5 stars (excluding Tommy/Timmy’s Fortune Cookie). Each time your character eats a fortune cookie, they’ll receive a fortune with a bronze, silver, or gold border. For Event Cookies, the fortunes will have an embroidery-like design with bronze/silver/gold coloring. Event/Special Cookies all have one 5-star furniture piece.

  • Bronze = 3-star items
  • Silver = 4-star items
  • Gold = 5-star items

Unfortunately, there’s no way to prevent duplicates when you open a fortune cookie (1) or a fortune cookie pack (5). You’re likely to get multiple 3-star item before you get the 5-star furniture. Fortune Cookie Rates are approximately listed as:

Fortune Type

Rate of Appearance

Bronze (2/3-star)

≈ 13/14.01%

Silver (4-star)

≈ 6.8%

Gold (5-star)

≈ 2.6%
