Thanks to Fallout season one’s overwhelming success when it was released in April this year, many fans can’t wait to get their eyes on its second season. One of the show’s most iconic characters, The Ghoul, will be making his way back to the Amazon Prime series but the actor who plays him, Walton Goggins, has revealed that he was “really scared” about making the journey once again. Bethesda’s video game adaptation quickly became the second most-watched series on Prime Video this year with 65 million viewers tuning into its futuristic, post-apocalyptic setting, making it the biggest series since Rings of Power.

Fallout‘s amazing line-up of talented actors includes Arcane’s Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, and Leslie Uggams, and tells the story about the aftermath of the Great War of 2077 where citizens must learn how to live in its dangerously unforgiving retrofuturistic wasteland. Walton Goggins Says He’s ‘Really Scared’ To Play The Ghoul Again

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Walton Goggins revealed that he was “really scared” about making the dive into Fallout season two again due to how painstaking it is to apply all of the prosthetics that turns him into The Ghoul, his cowboy-esque character that has been met with critical acclaim. Goggins humorously likened the entire makeup process to having another kid because “you totally forgot what it was like to have the first!” The Justified star recently posted on his Instagram that he was back in the makeup chair for Fallout season two, with an image of Goggins having prosthetics applied to his face to turn him into the Cooper Howard fans know and love. Thankfully, he didn’t seem to mind, stating he was “Back in the saddle… Deux. Gatdamn, it feels good to slip on this skin. I do this sh*t for the love of the Game,”

Many fans can’t wait to see other locations when Fallout season two rolls around, especially since new images have recently showcased a sign for Novac, a settlement that players of the game come across in Fallout: New Vegas, which could also mean introducing new and intriguing characters.


So far, Fallout season two’s narrative has been kept under lock and key, but it is speculated that The Ghoul and Lucy will continue on with their uneasy alliance after Fallout episode eight‘s final moments. Fallout season two has yet to confirm a release date on Prime Video, but the guess is that it could arrive sometime in 2026 at the earliest.
