Key Takeaways
- The arrival of Jeff the Land Shark’s first Funko Pop pre-dated his new-found fame in Marvel Rivals.
- Prior to Rivals’ release, Jeff starred alongside Deadpool in one of a series of new Funko Pops.
- Funko Jeff doesn’t have his Rivals collar, but the packaging confirms it really is him gobbling up Deadpool.
Marvel Rivals isn’t even a week old yet and for as many good reasons as bad, the hero shooter already has a lead character – Jeff the Land Shark. A relatively unknown Marvel character in the mainstream before Rivals, which is why many have been surprised to discover the powerful yet adorable strategist already has his own Funko Pop. Well, kind of.
Marvel Rivals’ characters don’t have Funko Pops based on their likenesses yet since the game is only six days old. However, since some of the characters are well-known, like Iron Man and Black Widow, there are Funko Pops out there that are Rivals characters adjacent. That collection includes Jeff, although even if you have already seen the Pop, you might not have realized it was partially modeled after the dog-shark hybrid hero.

Don’t let that adorable face fool you.
The focus of the Pop’s design is actually a character who isn’t a part of Marvel Rivals yet, Deadpool. A nervous-looking, swimsuit-clad merc with a mouth is standing in the mouth of a shark and yes, you guessed it, that shark is the one and only Jeff. If you’re doubting whether it really is supposed to be Jeff or not, the packaging for the Pop reads “With Jeff” next to Deadpool’s name.
Jeff The Land Shark Was A Funko Pop Long Before He Was On The Rivals Roster
The Figure Is Still Available Exclusively At GameStop
Pop Jeff looks more or less the same as Rivals Jeff since I guess there’s only so much you can do with a Land Shark’s design, particularly since the figure was created when only avid comic book readers knew of Jeff’s existence. The key difference is Pop Jeff isn’t wearing the golden collar that the base skin his Rivals counterpart sports in the new live service game.
The Pop was one of many unique designs released ahead of the arrival of Deadpool & Wolverine in cinemas over the summer. However, since it’s the only Funko Pop design featuring Jeff, it appears to have gained renewed popularity since players started to discover and fall in love with the Land Shark via Rivals. The figure is a GameStop exclusive and is still in stock via the link in the box below at the time of typing this, but I can’t imagine it will stay that way for long.
Deadpool (With Jeff) Funko Pop
Deadpool often finds himself in painful and tricky predicaments, but none are quite as problematic as the one depicted by this Funko Pop. The merc with a mouth is nervously standing inside a shark’s mouth, and not just any shark. It’s Jeff the Land Shark who has recently discovered mainstream Marvel fame due to his inclusion on the Marvel Rivals roster.
