Fortnite has a fair few mascots that receive more attention from fans and developers than other skins, and one of them is the hunky Meowscles. Meowscles has been flexing on the competition since Chapter 2 of Fortnite, and it’s clear that this muscular humanoid cat is here to stick around, as he’s had a fair few skins, along with some unusual variants join in the Battle Royale fight.

Fortnite: 18 Rarest Skin in 2024
Fortnite celebrates its 7th anniversary in 2024, but within that time, there are still some skins that haven’t returned in over half that time.
With all Meowscles skins in Fortnite, players can amass an army of cats that focus on getting the pump, and consuming protein powder, all whilst enjoying playing with a ball of yarn. There’s an abundance of Meowscles in Fortnite, but which of them acts as the best?
Updated on December 11, 2024, by Jake Fillery: Meowscles has always been a beloved and bulky cat that features in plenty of players’ lockers over the years in Fortnite, and it seems with every new Chapter and Season, Meowscles is set to feature in some caliber. With his bulging muscles and his rallying meow, Meowscles has featured as a purchasable outfit a few times beginning with Chapter 2, and with even more Meowscles skins, players have access to a whole litter of cats that love to hit the gym.
6 Toon Meowscles
Meowscles from a Classic Inktown Design
- Purchased from the Item Shop for 1,400 V-Bucks
- Introduced in: Chapter 2 Season 6
- Release Date: May 7, 2021
Bringing in the classic cartoon aesthetic of the 30s and 40s is Toon Meowscles, which comes in with a bold white and black paint scheme and eyes reminiscent of the early days of Mickey Mouse. Toon Meowscles is a tad cute, and the work put into the skin is great for the aesthetic it was going for, especially with the bulky cartoon guns and boots.
Yet, there’s something too obvious about Toon Meowscles that makes him stand out, and that’s not a good thing. Running around the Battle Royale and being spotted so easily thanks to the harsh jet black colors paired against green grass provides a bit of a disadvantage, even if it’s a cool ink skin.
5 Phantom Meowscles
Meowscles From a Creepy Shadow Realm
- Purchased from the Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks
- Introduced in: Chapter 4 Season 4
- Release Date: October 19, 2023
If a hunky cat wasn’t cursed enough, then Phantom Meowscles comes in to seal the deal. This purring monster is from a shadow realm, and the diabolical glowing grin stretched into his face, paired with the soulless and piercing white eyes, makes Phantom Meowscles a skin that’s best left in the gym and left well alone.

6 Disney Villain Skins Perfect for Fortnite
The worst of Disney’s most ghastly foes are set to debut on the Fortnite Battle Royale island, and some definitely deserve a spot as the most cruel.
Phantom Meowscles is pretty cool, but far too creepy to warrant being used in the Battle Royale. A smile that never moves, paired with purple magma fists and a sleek black shadowy skin, this Meowscles variant is one that needs to be eliminated for looking too scary to be around.
4 Meowdas
A Classy Cat with a Body of Gold
- Page 6 of the Chapter 5 Season 2 Remix Battle Pass (9 Battle Stars)
- Introduced in: Chapter 5 Season 2 Remix
- Release Date: November 2, 2024
With the release of Chapter 5’s Remix Season, players headed back to the OG Chapter 2 island with a few twists involved. One of them involved Meowdas, which was a remix of Chapter 2 Season 2’s best skins, Midas and Meowscles, combining the two into one skin that blended both their styles.
Meowdas has the muscle mass, tail, and animal face of Meowscles, but along with the tattoos, outfit, and skin-fade haircut of Midas. It’s a combination of two beloved skins, and the addition of having gold reactivity on weapons certainly makes it fun, but does it beat the OG Meowscles or a Meowscles with a mullet?
3 Meowscles
The Original Swole Cat
- Tier 60 of the Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass
- Introduced in: Chapter 2 Season 2
- Release Date: February 20, 2020
Coming in as the true OG, it’s hard to beat Meowscles. The original variant that needs no introduction, Meowscles burst onto the scene with his giant muscles and adorable kitten face, showing that all it takes is a lot of dedication to the gym and protein to get the physique to rival a Greek God.
Meowscles is hilarious in his imposing build, and the fact that he came with additional styles from the Battle Pass made it even better. There’s a variety of outfits for Meowscles, with a white and black variant, as well as a solid gold one. No matter the outfit, Meowscles is one swole cat.
