Of course, the listing in question could be fake, but if the HD version of The Wind Waker is finally brought to the Switch, then 2025 would be the ideal time for such a launch.

Leaks have suggested the Switch 2 could have 12GB of RAM, which is three times more than the original console. However, this has yet to be confirmed.

The original Switch’s nearly eight-year lifespan may not have brought forth a Wind Waker port, but the Switch 2 would be the next best option. What would make the success of a Wind Waker Switch port even more compelling is that it could potentially inspire Nintendo to make a full-fledged remake or even a sequel. Of course, this could be wishful thinking, but for such a beloved title, it’s not entirely impossible for Nintendo to revisit The Wind Waker, whether it be through a port or remake.
