Players will make their way through many different locations, and thanks to a new feature of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, they will know the exact names of these places when they find themselves stuck on a tricky puzzle — such as the paintings on the wall of the Silenced Cathedral.
While in the Silenced Cathedral, players will have already noticed the enemies are more dodgy and will recover much faster, but they will also descend from above while the players try to solve various puzzles. This means they will need to know how to solve them quickly.

Silenced Cathedral Wall Paintings Puzzle Solution in Soul Reaver
Players will progress through the area until they find themselves in a room filled with paintings on the walls, but there will be cube-shaped holes in these walls along with various cube-shaped blocks scattered about. Players will need to rotate these blocks so that the correct image is facing the correct direction. There is a simple technique that players can use to solve this puzzle.
When a player locates where a block belongs, they simply need to flip the block so that the image is facing straight up, then flip it so that the image is on the correct side for slotting into the wall. Now they just need to stand on either side of the image and flip the block until it is the correct direction. Players can now sink their claws into the block and drag it into place. The game will make the sound of a button being pressed if the correct block is used.
There is one exception to this rule. The slot on the north wall that is higher than all the others. This puzzle will come before you need to do a similar block puzzle using stone pipes, so it makes for some good practice.

How to Flip the Final Block Up
For this hole, players will need to flip the block into place so that the correct image lands in place. To do this, arrange the block so that the image is facing the correct direction. Now, stand behind the block and flip it onto its face. Push the block up against the wall under its hole and flip it from the opposite side so that the same image returns to facing in the same direction — but while it also gets pushed up into the hole.
If you make a mistake, you can push 2 blocks in front of the hole, then pull the block out onto one of the others. You can then push it off and try again. There is an optional puzzle later that serves as a more complicated version of this one. Completing it will net you an Artifact.
