Key Takeaways
- Saitama’s fart propelled him faster than light, catching his opponent off guard.
- Saitama disintegrates a moon with a powerful table flip, showcasing his terrifying strength.
- Saitama destroys Jupiter with a sneeze and learns a time-manipulating ultimate attack.
Throughout the One Punch Man series, Saitama has proven himself time and time again as the most powerful character in the entire setting. In all of his battles, he can only be said to have been serious once, which goes to show how incredible his power is since most of his opponents were the strongest villains in the setting up until that point. Despite how much stronger they were than everyone else, Saitama was always in another league.
Because of such unmatched power, Saitama has pulled off some feats that aren’t only impressive by One Punch Man standards, but are some of the most awe-inspiring moments in the entire anime/manga industry. So, let’s go over the most impressive of these moments and see what they mean for Saitama’s strength and how they work off of the kind of character he is.

Saitama’s battle against Garou was everything that the fans had been wanting to see since it was first teased. From all the opponents the Caped Baldy had ever faced throughout the series, Cosmic Garou was the strongest, but even then, Saitama’s growth far eclipsed that of his foe, forcing Garou to retreat from the battle by opening a portal to Earth. Just as he was relishing his victory by leaving his opponent stranded around Jupiter, he turned around to see Saitama there with him after traveling faster than light because of a fart!
A fart came out which gave me the momentum to catch up!
Though undoubtedly one of the funniest things in the series, it was also one of the most impressive. By only using his stomach ache as fuel, Saitama let out a fart so powerful that it propelled him faster than the speed of light through the vacuum of space. Although it’s unclear if he was able to make it to Garou’s portal before it closed or if he was able to close the gap between Jupiter and Earth in an instant, this remains one of his greatest feats.

The Serious Table Flip

In the heat of the battle against Cosmic Garou, Saitama began to exhibit a lot of his move set, which he had never done before. These were all parts of his ‘Serious Series’, and redefined what strength is in the series, but the Table Flip was one of the strongest even among these. By digging just one hand into the ground of Jupiter’s moon, Saitama brought it back up with incredible force.
Having overwhelming strength is… pretty boring.
The result of this completely tore up Io’s surface into rubble, causing a wave of destruction that uprooted the foundations of the moon. This was just a glimpse into Saitama’s terrifying strength, which he was able to capitalize on later by jumping between the various pieces of rubble at light speed, setting up the stage for his Omni-Directional Serious Punch.

A Sneeze That Destroyed Jupiter

In a moment that should put all power-scaling debates to bed, Saitama destroyed an entire planet with nothing but a sneeze in his fight against Cosmic Garou. Although he was already wasn’t fighting at his full power due to holding and protecting Genos’ core in one of his hands, the freezing temperatures of space didn’t do anything but give him a little cold. This made his nose runny throughout the battle.
Bring it on. One hand is all I need for you.
Because of this, Saitama needed to sneeze, which he managed to do when he and Garou were standing face to face. Though he avoided his enemy, the sheer force of the sneeze was enough to completely disintegrate the surface of Jupiter, revealing the core underneath. It was at this moment that Garou finally found out that he wasn’t fighting a normal enemy and that his opponent’s strength was far greater than anything he could’ve predicted.

While Saitama’s unmatched power is no secret and everyone knows just how strong he is, his skill is often overlooked. In the fight on Io, Saitama was able to mimic Garou’s moves perfectly mid-battle, which shows his aptitude for combat. However, most impressively, at the end of the arc, as Garou’s powers are being stripped from him, he teaches Saitama his ultimate technique, which the latter is able to mimic perfectly upon seeing it only once.
I can’t believe this. Your Martial Arts are awesome, Garou!
Although this move lacks the destructive output or the spectacle of others in the series, it’s one of the strongest since it gives the user the power to manipulate the flow of time. Using this attack, Saitama was able to travel backward in time to deliver an all-powerful punch to past-Garou as soon as he unlocked his Cosmic form, ending the threat before it even started. This alone is the most impressive thing he has ever done.
One Punch Man can be streamed on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
