Key Takeaways
- An “Offline” mode is finally coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
- As revealed in a new blog post, the mode will be making its way into the live-service shooter beginning tomorrow, December 10.
- Fans had been waiting for updates since the initial announcement of the mode.
The previously announced and long-awaited “Offline” mode for Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been confirmed to be coming to the game. More so, it won’t be long before gamers will be able to go through the live-service looter shooter without the need for an Internet connection, as the mode will become available beginning tomorrow, December 10.
In a news post detailing Season 4, which will also subsequently serve as the final update for Kill the Justice League, Rocksteady revealed that it will deliver the mode alongside Episode 7. “Offline mode will allow you to experience content released for the game, including the main story campaign and all seasonal story mission content, without an internet connection,” the post detailed.
As with any new addition, there are a few noteworthy details, namely that an “Offline” profile cannot be turned into an “Online” profile, and that in order to play the game’s final piece of content, you’ll have to connect to the Internet to download the latest title update. An FAQ on Warner Bros.’ site details everything.
Regardless, it’s a major addition to a game that could see its support end at some point down the line.

2024 Showed The Importance Of An Offline Mode
Earlier this year, Ubisoft began the process of delisting and taking The Crew offline. However, because an “Offline” mode was not implemented, the game essentially became obsolete. Having required a constant online connection, players soon found themselves with a game that could no longer be played. At one point, Ubisoft even began revoking access to the game.
In response to fan backlash, Ubisoft later announced that both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest would be receiving offline support at some point down the line. In other words, the offline mode is an integral part of not only long-term game preservation, but also for players who currently own the game.
