Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver has many locations, and there are some challenging puzzles in almost all of them. Not all of these puzzles are mandatory, but doing them anyway can net players some enticing rewards. Opening the map will show how many Artifacts can be found in each. Some will focus on raising health, while others will focus on raising energy.
The wall will have numerous engraved images on them, with the bottom sections having portions pulled out of it. Making this puzzle similar to that of another puzzle they will also encounter in the Silenced Cathedral — the wall paintings puzzle.
How to Get the Artifact in the Silenced Cathedral
This is an optional puzzle that players will stumble upon after completing 2 puzzles that will each shatter glass surrounding some switches. They will enter the room shortly after finding an Artifact surrounded by a glass enclosure. Players will be rewarded with this Artifact after completing the puzzle ahead.
Between this glass enclosure and the puzzle room will be a gate, meaning the player will need to abandon their corporeal form and phase through it. There will be some enemies on the other side that the player can take out and then absorb to replenish their stamina. Players will not be able to push any blocks while inhabiting the Spectral Realm, so head to the middle of the south wall and high jump to the ledge above. Here will be a point players can use to return to the Material Plane.
Before flipping blocks and slotting them into available spots on the wall, players should take a moment to look at the pictures. Trumpeters stand close together, while the figures holding their hands to the sky have lengthy garbs wrapped around their legs. This can help players know where to look when looking for where to push a block. Players can also swap between the original and

to admire both forms.
These blocks will not always be facing the correct direction and will need to be flipped. Players can always get a block to align the way they want by first flipping it so that the picture is facing upward, then standing on the side opposite where they need the image to face. Flipping the block will now have the image face the side they need it. If the image is upside down, they can stand to the left or right of the image and rotate it by flipping the block.
Once all the blocks have been pushed into place, 4 final blocks will fall from the top. Repeat this process with these 4 final blocks and the glass enclosure with the artifact will open up. Players will need to collect 5 total artifacts to complete an emblem, but in doing so will extend their total stamina.
