How To Use The Passive Skill Filter In Path of Exile 2

It can be easy to get lost in the passive skills menu, so it’s best to zoom out using either the bumpers on your controller or the wheel on your mouse. With so many passive skills in view at once, use the search option found in the top right corner of the screen. PC players can simply click on it while console players will need to press down the left joystick to open up the search bar.


From here, enter the keyword of whatever passive you’re trying to find, but make sure you spell it correctly as there is no auto-fill feature. After you search for a keyword, the search menu will disappear, and every passive with the keyword you typed will give a faint glow around the border every half second. This can be hard to see unless you stop moving and look, with zooming out helping you find the passives easily.

You can search for any words you want using the search bar, not just keywords. Once you’re done, be sure to delete what you typed in the search bar as it will stay there permanently until deleted. The search bar is more of a highlighting feature that helps identify skills you may want and won’t actually help navigate the huge layout of passive skills.

Players using controllers can use the right joystick to move between skills more freely than jumping from one to another.

For those wanting to make their own build, go to your skills menu and press the inspect button when hovering over a skill. This will let you see what keywords and stats influence a skill, letting you know which ones to search for to boost the skills you want, such as accuracy. You can also find a lot of keywords in your character menu, also using inspection, as it gives an overview of all of your stats so you know how to search for the ones you want to increase.
