The expansive and colorful world in Infinity Nikki is teeming with countless collectibles and curiosities for players to find along their journey to becoming the greatest stylist in Miraland. Thanks to the Heart of Infinity given to her, Nikki gets bestowed with a variety of useful abilities that help her discover even more unique items, and it’s up to you to make full use of those abilities to find them all.
One particular type of collectible that you’ll find especially useful in Infinity Nikki is Fish, and the waters around Miraland are full of all different kinds of aquatic critters. They’re not only key items in many different quests throughout the game, but they also serve as crucial components for many of the game’s special outfits, so knowing how and where to find them is absolutely important.

How to Catch Fish in Infinity Nikki
There are many abilities for you to unlock during your Infinity Nikki adventures and one of them turns you into a certified fishmonger, albeit the best-dressed, of course. It’s one of the first ability outfits you can obtain in the game, meaning that you can get to fishing sooner than you probably expected. The quest to unlock it is “Unexplained Coma Incidents” during Chapter One of the main story, which takes you to the Daisy Inn in Florawish where you meet Timis for the first time.
Timis will task you with acquiring a fish for her called a Brusher, meaning you’ll need a new ability outfit to help you fulfill her request. Once you have the quest active, go to your Heart of Infinity grid and look for the ‘Rippling Serenity’ outfit on the lower left side. Unlock the sketch node with the appropriate amount of Whimstars and Bling (there are plenty found around Florawish if you need to stock up on either), and then it’s time to craft the outfit itself.
For the Rippling Serenity outfit you will need the following items to craft it:
- 5 x Daisy (found in abundance in grassy areas around Florawish)
- 1 x Foodie Bee (commonly found near hydrangea bushes in Florawish; gather with Bug Catcher outfit)
- 1 x Floof Yarn (gather from Floof dogs in Florawish with Animal Groomer outfit)
- 72 x Threads of Purity (obtained via quest rewards and daily rewards such as wishes and Mira Levels)
When you have the above items ready in your inventory, choose ‘Select All’ on the Rippling Serenity outfit in your Sketches menu and then press the ‘Craft’ button at the bottom of the screen to create the entire outfit and simultaneously unlock your new fishing ability. You’ll then find it on your Ability Wheel, where you can toggle between all of your currently unlocked abilities. Alongside it, you’ll find your other starter abilities such as Animal Grooming, Bug Catching, and Electrician.
To catch a fish in Infinity Nikki, first head for a source of water such as a pond, a river, or somewhere along the coastline and look for a distinct circular ripple in the water. In it you should see a small group of fish, which designates it as a fishing spot. Next, select the ability on your Ability Wheel. Get as close to the fishing spot as you can (remember that Nikki doesn’t handle deep water very well) and press the appropriate ability button to activate it.
Nikki will then immediately change into her fish-catching outfit, which comes equipped with a fishing pole. When a fish takes the bait, press the appropriate buttons to engage it and then use the fishing pole to drain the fish’s endurance meter. When that’s done, you’ll be able to reel in the fish, and its type and size will then be revealed. Catching a big enough fish also contributes towards the Wishfield Journal Day 5 event challenge ‘Master Angler’, so make sure to keep track of that.
