Marvel Rivals has had a huge launch weekend. With hundreds of thousands of players grinding the battle pass and taking ranked for a spin, the hero shooter has already set itself up as one of the biggest in the genre. I’ve been having an incredible time learning Rocket Racoon, Groot, and even a bit of Hela too, with enough heroes to keep me engaged for ages. It’s not all been a walk on Easy Street, however, with plenty of players suffering from login issues. Luckily for us, then, these connectivity problems have already been resolved.
The Marvel Rivals Steam player count has already been so high that I’d expect there to be some problems with the servers. Across the free-to-play multiplayer game’s launch weekend, it hit a staggering 480,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, without even accounting for console users. NetEase Games has even celebrated reaching ten million players on all platforms in the first 72 hours, while the general consensus around the Overwatch competitor is that it’s pretty darn good.
Despite that success, you might have been plagued by Marvel Rivals login problems on PC throughout the weekend. If so, don’t worry, because this problem has now been fixed. “Great news! The server login issue — where some players could log in at first but then ran into trouble — has been fixed! We invite you to give it another shot, and you should be able to log in without any hiccups,” Marvel Rivals community manager ‘James’ writes on Discord.
“For those who had trouble logging in around Saturday December 7, we can’t thank you enough for your patience. If you’re still having any issues or can’t log in, just hit us up! We’re here to help you out as quickly as we can!”
Some players were reporting being stuck getting “server connection failed” messages whenever they booted Marvel Rivals up, but according to what NetEase is saying, this should no longer be the case.
Don’t forget that the Marvel Rivals ranked mode is here, and there is even a free reward if you climb enough of the levels. I’d just make sure you jump in with a balanced team, because from my experience not having enough tanks or healers is an automatic loss.
