Everything You Need To Know About FFXIV’s Starlight Celebration 2024

The Starlight Celebration is FFXIV’s Christmas analogy and has run for every single year of the games release, making it one of the most enduring and long-running events in all MMOs. This year’s Starlight Festival is the 15th incarnation of the event, and the first to take place during the Dawntrail expansion.

What’s more, this year’s edition is absolutely chocked full of rewards and presents for players. First and foremost is an incredible Starlight Stall Bird Chocobo Barding which decks out out Chocobo with a really adorable winter attire, and some kind of barrel of delicious mulled winter beverages (presumably Kinderpunch, whatever that is) on the back.

Then there’s a trio of furnishings, the Starlight Kinderpunch Cup, the Starlight Mug Set, and the Starlight Festival Poster 2024. Finally, players can grab the Orchestrion Roll, Warmth in a Snowy Forest as well.

This is all on top of ofcourse a series of quests that will likely bring festive cheer to even the most grinch-like green Hrothgar. To start these quests, head to Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre in Old Gridania, and speak to Amh Garanjy (X: 10.2, Y: 9.4).

As usual, completing the quests will unlock all the items, or they’ll be purchasable from the Starlight Festival Executive Committee NPC along with some items that were available at past Starlight Festivals.

FFXIV has a plethora of seasonal events and you keep up with all of them with our handy FFXIV: Dawntrail calendar. And remember that on Dec. 17, day after the event drops FFXIV welcomes its first Chaotic Alliance Raids, The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) as part of the 7.11 patch.
