Elbaf’s antagonist will be revealed in One Piece 1134. One Piece’s Elbaf arc will pick up in pace.
While most fans would have already decided upon their favorite chapters of the year by this time, Oda completely flipped the script by dropping One Piece 1133, and it is clear for the fans to see that this chapter has some of the very best moments in the entire series. With a reunion that left fans sobbing, as well as Elbaf’s grandeur being explored, One Piece chapter 1133 was a total delight for the fans.
The New Robin Flashback Added Further Depth To The Character
- Robin’s Flashback Was Elaborated Upon
- Fans Robin Meet Saul Once Again
Much to the surprise of the fans, One Piece chapter 1133 gave them another look at Nico Robin’s flashback. It is not a stretch to say that Nico Robin’s flashback is one of the very best in One Piece, if not the best. This story was presented to the fans in the Water 7 Saga of One Piece, where Robin was a central figure. Robin’s entire past was revealed to all the fans, and it is safe to say that it is one of the most tragic and heartbreaking stories that Oda has written in One Piece and also one of the best that One Piece has had to offer. Oda took it upon himself to expand upon it even more in One Piece chapter 1133.
Why do I have to continue living? – Robin
As was shown in the chapter, Nico Robin continued her journey following the tragic events of Ohara and it is safe to say that this journey was more painful and tragic than fans could have imagined. Robin was clearly depressed and suicidal after the destruction of Ohara. Fans also saw a mass propaganda playing out against Robin, led by the World Government. Robin was painted as a criminal who was directly responsible for the destruction of Ohara and, more specifically, sinking the civilian ship that Akainu destroyed. People were told that Robin would murder them in their sleep, and that she is a demon with no human emotion. This strategy clearly worked, since quite a lot of people ended up betraying Robin. Robin did not find any allies over the years, which just goes to show that the vast majority of the people she interacted with never trusted her to begin with.
Robin was forced to survive and live off of scraps. This eventually led her to contemplate suicide, as was shown in the chapter where she even made preparations for jumping off a cliff and ending her life. Thankfully, Robin never went ahead with this plan, and her survival was only down to the fact that Saul’s words kept echoing in her head. Robin knew that she had to live for herself, for the people of Ohara, and to fulfill her dream at some point in the future. These were the only reasons why Robin did not kill herself, and, to the fans, this was a very tragic turn in One Piece. For an 8-year-old child to be ostracized, shunned by the world, and being led to commit suicide is truly heartbreaking. Oda knows how to tug at the heartstrings of the fans, and he did so once again in One Piece chapter 1133 in a brilliant manner.
The buildup was absolutely perfect for driving the series towards the eventual reunion between Saul and Robin, which happened later in the chapter and fans were truly delighted with what they got to see in this week’s chapter of One Piece.
Elbaf’s Exploration Continues In One Piece 1133
Luffy and The Group Go Across Elbaf Village
One Piece chapter 1133 also continued the exploration of Elbaf. As fans know, the exploration of Elbaf is only just getting started. In the previous chapter, it was clearly shown that the Straw Hat Pirates had now reached the second level of Elbaf, which is known as the Sun World. The Sun World is likely not going to be fully explored.
This is because it is composed of countless villages that will take the Straw Hats months to go through. Elbaf is truly a massive country and because of that, the vast majority of action in this land will likely be contained in a couple of villages. For now, the village of Dorry and Brogy is the most important one, and this is where exploration continued in One Piece chapter 1133 as well.

One Piece: Franky’s Voice Actor Announces He’s Stepping Down From The Role
Franky’s voice actor, Kazuki Yao, is stepping down. Here’s why.
Fans were introduced to other forms of Island Clouds, and using these clouds, ships were seen floating through the sky. Elbaf truly is a wonderful place where technology of all kinds can flourish, and this was quoted by Vegapunk himself in One Piece chapter 1133. Along with that, fans also got to see a lot of other exciting bits here and there in the chapter, and it is safe to say that the adventurous spirit of this country is only going to be expanded upon in the next few chapters as well.
Most importantly, fans got to see more of the Treasure Tree Adam as well, and how it spreads into the Sun World of Elbaf. This was linked directly to Saul, whose library is built on one of those branches, and this is where the most tearjerking part of the chapter took place.
Robin and Saul Reunite After 22 Years
Nico Robin Asks For Praise For Having Survived
One Piece 1133 felt like a short chapter, but it was one filled with emotion to the fullest. The best part of the chapter came towards the end, when Robin and Saul reunited. It was clear that Oda was doing a call back with how Saul met Robin for the first time here as well. The reintroduction of Saul was similar to how he was first introduced to Robin, and it certainly touched the hearts of the fans.
Saul, please praise me for having survived for so long! – Robin
Meanwhile, Robin couldn’t hold back tears either. She heard about the death and destruction of Ohara from Saul at first, but her concern was only getting praise from him for having survived for so long. Saul gave her what she wanted and was delighted to reunite with her once again. Both Saul and Robin broke down in tears, making it clear to each other how much they missed being together. The Straw Hat Pirates were moved to tears as well, and this truly phenomenal chapter, which, although felt quite short, shot up fans’s list of the best One Piece chapters of the year.
Hopefully, Oda will build upon this in the upcoming few weeks and give a proper conclusion to One Piece in 2024. Unfortunately, One Piece is going to be on break next week, which means fans will have to wait 2 weeks for the next chapter to hit.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus apps. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1134, is set to be December 22, 2024.
