Argonaut Games has been fielding questions about the future of Croc ever since the remaster’s delay was announced. Quite a few fans asked if there are plans to remaster Croc 2, the sequel that followed in Legend Of The Gobbos footsteps two years on from the first game’s launch. The studio didn’t confirm a Croc 2 remaster will happen, but did confirm there will be one if the first game performs well enough.
If the Croc remaster sells well enough, and then Croc 2 does too, there have even already been discussions to finally complete the trilogy. Argonaut was in the process of developing a third Croc game, Stone of the Gobbos, when the studio closed in 2004 and the series’ IP was sold. The third Croc game was canceled and until the upcoming remaster, outside of a few mobile games, there had been nothing from the platforming crocodile for 25 years.
