In this short guide, we cover how Vulture Aid works in Black Ops 6, how it affects loot drops from slain zombies, and give a brief overview of all six augments for Vulture Aid.

What Is Vulture Aid?

Black Ops 6 Vulture Aid Machine-1

Vulture Aid is a Perk-A-Cola that causes zombies to drop additional loot on death. It can be purchased from its respective vending machine on Citadelle Des Morts or the Der Wunderfizz machine on any map.

How Vulture Aid Works In Black Ops 6

While active, zombies you kill are more likely to drop the following items:

  • Small ammo pouches.
  • Essence bundles.
  • Equipment.
  • Salvage (augment required).

Essence and ammo pouches are the most common drops. This effect doesn’t have a cooldown and applies to all zombie types. Certain augments will also cause Vulture Aid to spawn toxic clouds periodically when you kill zombies. Standing in a cloud confers at least one benefit, such as charging your field upgrade faster or hiding your presence from nearby undead.

Unlike Black Ops 2, Vulture Aid no longer marks purchasable items on your HUD; it only modifies zombie drops.

As with all perks in BO6 Zombies, Vulture Aid has six augments you can unlock, three per category. The major augments reimplement Vulture Aid’s gas cloud mechanic from its Black Ops 2 version, giving you different effects based on the augment you pick. If you don’t like gas clouds, you can opt for Parting Gift instead, granting Wonder Weapons additional ammo from Vulture Aid ammo packs.

Minor augments modify how drops work with Vulture Aid. Condor’s Reach lets you pick up items from further away, while Carrion Luggage gives you a means of spawning extra Salvage. If you love using equipment, you can opt to run Picky Eater instead, making zombies drop your current equipment much more often.
