Fortnite OG arrives alongside Chapter 6, taking players back to where it all began. In this mode, players can experience the first-ever rendition of Fortnite Battle Royale, revisiting a roster of familiar locations and battling with a wide range of legacy weapons, some of which haven’t been seen in quite a long time.
With the return of Fortnite, Chapter 1 comes a plethora of OG mechanics, each offering players unique ways to outplay the competition. One such strategy is the Double Pump method, which allows players to fire two Pump Shotguns without any delay. Rocket Riding has also made a comeback, enabling players to send their squadmates into battle in style.

How To Get a Rocket Launcher
Before players can begin Rocket Riding, they must first get their hands on a Rocket Launcher. Rocket Launchers are weapons that come in Rare to Legendary rarities and are most commonly found within both Chests and Supply Drops.
Chests seem to offer a fairly low chance of containing a Rocket Launcher due to the abundance of other items in the loot pool. However, Supply Drops yield a decent chance of providing either an Epic or Legendary variant. For players looking to acquire one, be sure to keep an eye on the map for incoming Supply Drops during a game of Battle Royale.

How To Rocket Ride in Fortnite
Once players have a Rocket Launcher, they can proceed with Rocket Riding. To Rocket Ride, players will need a friend: one player fires the rocket, and the other rides it. To rocket ride, follow these steps:
- Get the player willing to Rocket Ride to stand on an elevated surface, such as a staircase.
- Have the player holding the Rocket Launcher aim in the direction they want to send the rider, and line up their shot just above the other player’s feet.
- Once the first player is ready, have the second player jump.
- Fire the rocket the moment the jumping player begins to fall back down.
If timed correctly, the rider should land on top of the rocket, flying along with it. Rocket Riding is an excellent strategy for surprising opponents, especially those holding the high ground. However, it’s important to note that rocket riding does not negate fall damage. If players are high up when the rocket explodes, they may be instantly downed upon hitting the ground.
