In One Piece chapter 1133, fans got to see the reunion of Saul and Nico Robin. As fans know, Robin and Saul have known each other for years. These two met about 22 years ago on the island of Ohara. By this time, Saul had defected from the Marines and left to warn Ohara about an impending disaster. He became friends with Robin and that is how these two got to know each other. Soon after, Ohara collapsed due to the attack of the World Government as a Buster Call was launched. For Robin, this was a tragic moment. Her entire family, which was composed largely of the scholars of Ohara, was stripped from her right in front of her eyes. Her people, the common civilians of Ohara were murdered in Cold blood, and her only friend, which was Saul, was frozen by Kuzan to the bone. Saul was left to die while Robin was the only one who made it out alive.

She endured several hardships over the years, and even contemplated suicide, as was shown in One Piece chapter 1133. The reason Robin is alive is because she had tremendous willpower and, eventually, she found the right people to be around. Robin survived very well, but she was not the only one who survived Ohara. As revealed in One Piece’s Egghead Island arc, Saul had managed to survive the events of Ohara and this was largely due to the flames that engulfed the island. The ice around him melted and he eventually managed to escape.

Fans knew that Elbaf would bring a major reunion to them when this massive piece of information was brought forward by Oda. Robin was looking forward to her reunion with Saul already, and as Elbaf began, this reunion was edging closer.

One of the most anticipated reunions in One Piece, and quite possibly the most anticipated one, is that of Luffy and Shanks. Fans know Shanks to be the primary reason why Luffy even became a pirate in the first place. Luffy carries Shanks’s hat, and the promise they made would see him return his hat to him once they met again. Luffy’s reunion with Shanks has been teased on many occasions. It was first teased during the Paramount War, where Shanks refused to see him due to not wanting to break their promise, and later down the line, it was teased once again in Wano, where Luffy had just defeated Kaido.

Now, One Piece is in its Final Saga, and Luffy is currently in Elbaf, which is widely known as Shanks’s territory. Although Shanks is no longer in Elbaf right now, he is bound to return at some point, and when that happens, it is highly likely that these two characters are going to meet each other. Shanks and Luffy’s reunion is going to be absolutely massive, as not only is it going to be emotional, but at the same time, it is going to result in an exciting battle between these two characters, which will showcase to the fans what Shanks can truly do.
