Best Class For Solo Players In Path of Exile 2
The best class for playing solo is a minion-focused Witch. While the Witch isn’t very tanky, an army of minions is great for drawing enemy attention away from the player. Without any defensive upgrades, the Witch won’t be able to take much of a hit, though using your Skeleton Warriors will give you a buffer on most enemies and even bosses depending on how they aggro.
While focusing purely on strengthening your minions isn’t a necessity, having them be strong will give similar benefits to playing with a party. Following the passive skill tree going up from the central circle, you’ll find many upgrades that boost minion damage and your own spell damage, making you just as deadly for sitting in the back.
Early on you won’t be able to summon many minions, but you can quickly increase the total number of summons if you know what to do. As long as you have a scepter in you off-hand, this will also free up your main hand for a few one-handed weapon options, so you have versatility in how your actual character will play.

Other Good Solo Player Class Options In Path of Exile 2
The Witch does have a unique play style that may not be to everyone’s liking, but there are two other decent options for solo players:
- Warrior – Can be easily built as a tank to deal with all the incoming attention and damage.
- Mercenary – Is very versatile in how it can be built to deal with crowds of enemies however you see fit.
Playing solo does require a focus on your defenses just as much as maximizing your DPS, and the energy shield is a great way to further any class’s defenses. No matter what class you choose, playing solo will be a good bit more of a challenge than playing with a party.
