Here are the best easter eggs in Super Mario Party Jamboree!
A Mario Party game may never get all that difficult in terms of gameplay. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t start to dominate your friends with a few aces up your sleeve. These basic tips and tricks are just some of the best things to know before you start to play Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Look For Hidden Secrets On The Map
From the Party Plaza, you’ll lift up in a hot air balloon in order to select the different modes of play in the game. As you look around using the binoculars, you may start to notice there’s a whole host of hidden secrets everywhere. If you snap a photo of some of these little easter eggs, like a Chain Chomp sleeping in a nearby cave, you can earn additional Party Points.
Beyond just that, if you look around the map, you’ll be able to spot Pauline hanging out on a small island with a red and white umbrella. You’ll also see Ninji standing on top of the taller of two green and gray islands. Zoom in on each of these two characters to unlock them for play!

Not All Jamboree Buddy Abilities Are Worth It
Early on in your first Mario Party, you may have a Jamboree Buddy land on the board. These are other characters in the playable roster that you can recruit for your team. However, while this may seem like a universally good idea, it’s worth noting that not all of the buddy abilities are worth it.

For example, buddies like Peach can make you pay half-price for things like stars! Meanwhile, buddies like Donkey Kong simply move you to a different spot on the board before you start your turn. Depending on how far out of the way the Jamboree Buddy is, you might want to make sure you understand the buffs and nerfs of their ability before pursuing them.
Bowser Jr., Peach, Daisy, and Mario have some of the better buddy abilities in the game. Avoid Waluigi at all costs. His ability allows you to steal coins from players you pass, but Jamobree Buddies can be stolen when players pass you, and this can lead to a never-ending cycle of coin-stealing.
7
Check The Spaces To The Star Counter
This is a simple, but important tip. Now that the Mario Party boards are bigger than ever, it can be really easy to lose track of where you are. This is especially true for first-time players.
That’s why it’s important to note that, in the upper left-hand corner of your screen, there’s a ‘Spaces to the Star’ counter icon. Even before looking at the map to see what route you should go, you should check out this icon to see how close you are to a star. This quick little reference point may save you a lot of time going into the View Board menu and counting out spaces.
6
Party Planner Trek Is A Great Way To Unlock Achievements
Super Mario Party Jamboree features a unique single-player story mode called Party-Planner Trek. In this mode, you’ll help Kamek get decorations ready by completing various tasks across the Mario Party boards. If you’re not playing with a group, but still want to unlock as many achievements as possible, this mode is a great way to do so!
To complete the Party Rank system, you need to unlock 50 achievements. Party-Planner Trek has 12 all-in-all. So, completing this mode quickly will allow you to knock out a huge portion of your Party Rank right from the get-go. Plus, this mode is available right from the very start.

How Pro Rules Change The Game
After playing your first standard Mario Party, you’ll have the ability to play using Pro Rules. This is a fixed ruleset with limited customization options that takes out some of the randomness of a standard Mario Party. In theory, this is a real test of skill as opposed to a competition based on luck of the draw. The rules work like this.
- 12 Turns Total
- Bonus Stars Revealed From The Start
- Choose An Item At Start
- Random Spaces Like Bowser or Lucky Nerfed or Removed
- Item Shop Inventory Limited
- Fixed Star Spaces
- Boos Steal 15 Coins Only
- Hidden Blocks Turned Off
- Minigames Voted On
- No Special Event During Last Five Turns
- Can Wager For Stars In Duels
Overall, while the rules do take out a lot of the randomness that makes Mario Party so singular, in many ways, there’s no real way to get rid of that sense of chaos. After all, dice rolls still are randomly generated. While certain rules like fixed Star Spaces and the removal of Hidden Blocks are good, it’s worth noting that this isn’t necessarily the perfect skill-based Mario Party some players may be looking for.

What’s Best To Use Party Points On
As you play through various game modes and unlock achievements, you’ll start to earn Party Points. You can trade these in for unlockables at the Party Plaza. But, as dense as the plaza is, it can be hard to know just what’s worth it and what’s not.

Super Mario Party Jamboree: 12 Best Minigames
Minigames are the best part of any Mario Party, but which ones rise above the rest in Jamboree?
Frankly, the emotes are some of the most fun you’ll have in Jamboree. These are unlockable stickers that you can trigger in-game when moments of drama occur on the board. How else are you supposed to express your disdain for losing a star if not with a crying penguin emote that you can purchase for 300 Party Points?
3
Some Items Are Exclusive To Boards
Super Mario Party Jamboree boasts an impressive roster of 37 different items to choose from. With so many options to boost your chances or sabotage your friends, the items can prove to be a bit overwhelming. But, beyond that, it can be easy to fall into the trap of waiting for a specific item to appear only to learn that it’s exclusive to a specific board.
Some of these are more obvious than others. For example, the Wiggler Bell is obviously an exclusive to Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party. However, Turbo Dice, which seem similar in execution to Double or Triple Dice, are actually exclusive to Roll ‘em Raceway. If you’re scouring a board waiting to find a specific item, you might want to make sure it’s not exclusive to a specific board first.
2
You Don’t Need Every Achievement To Max Out Your Rank
As mentioned before, to max out your Party Rank, you need to unlock 50 achievements. However, this doesn’t mean you necessarily need to do a completionist run of Jamboree to max out your rank. In actuality, you only need to find about 50 percent of the total achievements.
All-in-all, there are 116 achievements you can earn. For those looking to hit 50 quickly, Party Planner Trek is one good option. And, while just playing through standard Mario Parties also works, don’t overlook things like Bowser Challenges or Motion Island, which boast their own host of achievements you can complete quickly.
1
Some Minigames Are Unlockable
While these won’t necessarily appear in standard Mario Parties, there’s a handful of unlockable minigames in Jamboree. If you’re a completionist, or just like being able to have access to every minigame, you’re going to want to prioritize doing Party-Planner Trek first. In this mode, you’ll need to defeat a boss at the end of each board by playing a minigame.
Once you beat each boss, the minigame will then become replayable. After doing so, head over to Minigame Bay. There, you’ll find that you can access all five Boss Minigames and replay them to your heart’s content.
