Supercell is back with another Brawl Talk this festive month, following the last one in September that revealed the SpongeBob collaboration. At the new December 2024 Brawl Talk, Brawl Stars announced an exciting collab with Disney and Pixar‘s Toy Story series, bringing the iconic Buzz Lightyear as a temporary Brawler to the game, available from December 12 to February 4, 2024.
In addition to Buzz, the game is bringing Toy Story skins, two new Brawlers, Brawliday freebies and new presents, the Pizza Planet event, and new game modes. Let’s dive into the December 2024 Brawl Talk in detail and explore the new Toy Story collaboration.
Brawl Stars December 2024 Brawl Talk: New Brawlers
Brawl Stars is introducing three new Brawlers to the game, counting the temporary Brawler, Buzz Lightyear.
Buzz Lightyear
Buzz Lightyear, everyone’s favorite space ranger, will be available as a playable Brawler for free from December 12, 2024, to February 4, 2025. Once unlocked, he will start at Infinity level with all his abilities unlocked. Buzz has three attack modes: Laser Mode, Saber Mode, and Wing Mode. Additionally, he has a hypercharge that boosts his damage, speed, and defense. This doesn’t affect his Super.
- Laser Mode: Buzz shoots a laser that deals burn damage over time. With his Super, Laser Frenzy, he fires laser attacks in a large cone-like area and deals damage over time to enemies.
- Saber Mode: In this mode, he does melee attacks, dealing heavy damage in a cone-like area. He can take off with his Super, To the Rescue, and deal damage to enemies and knock them off when he lands.
- Wing Mode: He shoots two projectiles that deal more damage the closer he is to the enemy Brawler. His Super, Flying with Style, allows him to use his wings to jump higher and he drops bomb during his flight.
Ollie
Ollie, a Mythic Brawler, is one of the latest Brawlers announced in this Brawl Talk. He is a new type of brawler who is a Taunter. A fan of old-school Hip-Hop, he rides a custom hoverboard while blasting his favorite tunes forcing enemy Brawlers to dance.
With Ollie’s main attack, you can fire sound waves that deal damage around you. During his Super, you can dash forward and start blasting beats that can taunt enemy Brawlers. You can purchase Ollie and his Ollie G skin in late December.
Meeple
Meeple, an Epic Brawler, is another exciting Brawler announced alongside Ollie. He is a mysterious being who knows every rule of every board game and is obsessed with them. With his main attack, you can fire projectiles that slightly home in on the nearest Brawler.
For his super, he cheats and rolls a Nat 21 on a d20, allowing you and your teammates to pierce through the environment and Brawlers with your attacks. He will be available on the Pizza Planet Shop instead of a Value Pack. You will be able to purchase the Strike Meeple skin for 29 Gems.
Brawl Stars December 2024 Brawl Talk: Toy Story Collaboration, Brawlidays, Pizza Planet Event, and more
The Brawl Star x Toy Story collaboration features a lot of exclusive skins, new game modes, and events. All the skins except Surge Lightyear will be available in the shop. The new skins include:
- Woody Colt skin
- Bo Peep Bibi
- Jessie Jessie
- Surge Lightyear
Brawl Stars Brawlidays
Brawl Stars will feature a 13-day Brawliday freebie calendar, where you can get the Buzz Lightyear Brawler for free on Day 1. Moreover, Mega Pig will be replaced by Mega Tree. You can join a club and get more presents based on the number of Club wins. Each day, you will get tickets just like the Angelic vs Demonic event, and you can use them to play Mega Tree modes.
You can open all the presents together with the whole Club on December 25, 2024. The presents include currencies, Gems, and brand-new Toy Skins:
- Pop Penny
- Cuddly Kit
- Loopy Lola
- Pop-Up Darryl
Brawliday Skins
The presents will also feature all Brawlidays skins, including recolored skins like Sugar Bomb Mike and Reinbear Nita. In addition, there will be two new Brawlidays skins: Reindeer Bonnie and Jolly Janet.
The Calendar and Mega Tree Event will start on December 12, 2024, and will end on December 25, 2024.
Pizza Planet Event
The Pizza Planet Event will kick off on January 2, 2025, following the Mega Tree Event. During this event, you can get the brand-new Brawler, Meeple, and Surge Lightyear skin for free. This event will also feature a calendar, where you can collect Pizza Slices, with Surge Lightyear as the final reward. The event will end in early February.
You can earn additional pizza slices from quests and a special leaderboard, similar to the Contest game mode from the Angelic vs Demonic season. Like that mode, you will get tickets daily, but what makes this different is that you can earn more points by winning faster, dealing more damage, healing, completing the objectives, and eliminating Brawlers. However, these points are only added to the leaderboard if you win the match.
Pizza Planet Shop
There will be a new Pizza Planet Shop during the Pizza Planet Event, where you can use the pizza slices to get various prizes. In the shop, you will find special offers, currencies, Hypercharge Starr Drops, and even presents that you missed during the Brawliday event. Additionally, you can unlock the new Epic Brawler, Meeple, for free here, which will cost you 410 pizza slices.
New Game Modes
Brawl Hockey
Brawl Hockey mode is quite similar to the Brawl Ball mode, but the puck travels faster and further when you shoot it, compared to the ball. Moreover, the goalpost is also bigger than the Brawl Ball mode, but the winning condition is the same: score three times and you win the match.
Special Delivery
Special Delivery is similar to the Payload mode but more simple. In this mode, there is only one track, unlike Payload. The key difference is that if your team has more Brawlers on the delivery than your opponent you can still push the delivery.
New Hypercharge
- Gray: With his Hypercharge, you can summon an extra portal and provide a shield to everyone on your team.
- Janet: You can now control her better and her hypercharge allows her to stay still in the air.
- Ash: You can now spawn twice as many rats with his Hypercharge.
- Eve: When you use her Hypercharge, her egg will continuously spawn hatchlings until it’s destroyed or decays on its own.
- Berry: Thanks to his Hypercharge, his paint area gets wider and wilder.
- Melodie: You can spawn another note around you for every dash when using her Hypercharge.
January Starr Force Season
The Starr Force season will start in January 2025, bringing back the Starr Force skins to the game. Hebi Kenji will be receiving a Laser Sword and is the new Brawl Pass skin. Mamushi Kenji and Aodaisho Kenji Chromas will be available in Brawl Pass Plus.
There will be other skins like Moon Driver Moe, Runner Nita, Gigantophis Gray, Starr Horse Berry, and Extraterrestrial Eve.
February Brawl Pass Season
For the February Brawl Pass season, Pop Melodie will be the featured Brawl Pass skin, with Red-White Melodie and Black-Green Melodie as Chroma skins, which will be available in the Brawl Pass Plus. There will be other skins for the season like Quit Playing Poco, Bye Bye Buzz, and Woodriver Stu.
Brawlentine Skins
For Valentine’s month, there will be two Brawlentine skins: Romantic Dynamike and Cupid Bo. Additionally, there will be other 29 Gems skins available, including Jungle Gene, Galactic Gale, Maverick Crow, and Robo Penny.
In celebration of the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024 and to congratulate the 2024 Brawl Stars World Champions, HMBLE, the World Finals Leon skin will be available in the game.
