Key Takeaways
- Tekken 8 will continue to receive major content updates come 2025, as revealed during a new trailer.
- Among those updates is a Year 2 pass, where it appears that Anna Williams will be one of the main additions.
- Elsewhere, the fourth and final member of the Year 1 pass will be revealed during The Game Awards on Thursday.
Tekken 8 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. As revealed in a new three-minute trailer, the Bandai Namco published fighting game will receive two major content updates in the coming months. The first, a Winter Update, will add new customization features, along with a Year 2 character pass, while the second, a Spring Update, will add new moves for all characters, among other additions.
As revealed in the middle of the trailer, it appears that Anna Williams, the sister of Nina, will be either the first member of the pass, or at least a member overall. During the trailer, a chopper with a familiar red rose and lipstick kiss can be seen entering the frame before beginning to attack Nina.
That’s about as obvious as a teaser can get. Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time that Anna will be a DLC character for a Year 2 pass, as she was also a Tekken 7 Year 2 character.
As for the rest of the pass, well, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see who’s in it.

Tekken 8 Has Had Some Monster DLC
To this point, Tekken 8 is still rounding out its Year 1 pass, with an announcement set for Thursday’s The Game Awards for the fourth and final character.
That said, of the three released fighters, Tekken 8 went all out on fan requests. Eddy Gordo kicked things off as the first member, while Lidia entered during the summer. After that, Tekken sent fans into a frenzy when it was revealed that Heihachi was in-fact still alive and would be added to the game. Not only that, but Tekken 8 also got some story DLC, a franchise first. In other words, Tekken 8 has done the most to keep fans engaged with fan favorite fighters, and Year 2 looks to continue that trend.
