We’re barely a set in, and there has been some truly stunning art featuring the likes of Mew, Pikachu, and Venusaur. The biggest problem is, at least as of right now, none of these cards are available for collectors of the physical card game. Well, most collectors, at least.

Over on the game’s subreddit, players have been sharing their homebrew versions of the Genetic Apex cards, with some stunning results.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Players Are Making Physical Genetic Apex Cards
Over the past month or so, a handful of handmade versions of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket exclusive cards have been shared, and while they’re all excellent, Reddit user Flat-Flounder3037 has shared the perfect example.
In a now-removed Reddit post, working with their son, the Redditor created a selection of the game’s best-looking cards. Together, they made three ex cards, Charizard ex, Blastoise ex, and Mewtwo ex, two illustration rares, Alakazam and Gengar ex, a Marowak full art card, and the ultra-rare immersive Mewtwo ex.
Not content with just printing out the trading cards, though, Flounder purchased holographic vinyl to make the cards pop and stuck them in a binder to really go the extra mile.
The cards were met with great enthusiasm in the thread, with players declaring that they’d love a physical version of The Pokemon Company’s mobile trading card game.
It’s likely their wishes will come true at some point. Given that The Pokemon Company has already based one TCG expansion on a mobile game with Pokemon GO, it’s not too far-fetched to assume a Genetic Apex physical set will be released at some point down the line. Especially as Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is currently a money-printing machine.
