Marvel Rivals Shouldn't Miss the Chance to Capitalize on the Wandavision and Agatha Hype

With the release of Marvel Rivals, Marvel fans have been given the ability to play as many of their favorite heroes. With over 30 different ones to choose from, there is seemingly someone for everyone. And with updates, that number will only grow with even more exciting additions, especially if the Marvel Rivals leaks are to be believed. But while that all sounds promising, there is one cast of characters that really needs to be added to the fun sooner rather than later.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a lot of success over the years, but recently, many fans seem to be specifically gravitating towards the Maximoffs. Thanks to Wandavision and Agatha All Along, this superhero family has become some of the biggest names in the franchise, and that hype seems to only be growing thanks to the long-rumored Vision show. So, it would only make sense for Marvel Rivals to tap into this fun cast of characters, especially as their MCU future is currently being written.

One of Marvel Rivals’ iconic skins is a treat for diehard Marvel fans, but it can also prove troublesome because of one important thing.

Marvel Rivals Could Do Wonders With the Wandavision and Agatha Cast

Marvel Rivals Has Barely Tapped Into that Side of the MCU

At launch, Marvel Rivals only barely tapped into the Maximoff family and related characters. Right now, players can only step into the shoes of the Scarlet Witch herself, Wanda Maximoff. She takes on the role of a Duelist and uses her devastating chaos magic to defeat her enemies. Players can siphon energy, charge powerful attacks, fly around the map, and unleash destructive waves of energy that can massively change the course of any battle. Those who can master her abilities are a force to be reckoned with, and her inclusion comes at the perfect time.

Outside of Scarlet Witch, there are no characters from the Wandavision side of the MCU. The closest players come to more Maximoffs is Magneto. While he is not canonically Wanda’s father in the MCU, he has been portrayed as such within comics. Additionally, players can play as Doctor Strange, who went up against Wanda in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Both additions are great, but fans should be able to actually delve into the Maximoff family in a future update.

The Maximoff Family and Enemies Would Be Fantastic Additions

Both Wandavision and Agatha All Along have introduced fans to the Maximoff family and have delved much further into the titular characters. Marvel fans got to watch as Wanda and Vision dealt with the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, saw Billy Maximoff come into his own through Agatha All Along, and even got to see the vile Agatha Harkness try to manipulate the entire family since her introduction. Those stories have not only helped build out the MCU, but they have also been some of the most popular entries yet.

Because of that popularity, it only makes sense that Marvel Rivals would want to tap into that part of the series. Players could have a lot of fun unleashing magical powers as Wiccan, they could phase through their enemies as Vision, or they could experience extremely fast-paced gameplay as Speed. If the studio wanted to take it further, then it could also introduce Agatha Harkness and the whole cast of Agatha All Along. Fans seem to really love all of these characters, so they should not be left out of the hero shooter fun.

As MCU fans eagerly await the next chapter of the Wandavision story, it feels like the perfect time to give them access to these characters. Not only would it serve as a fantastic way to bridge the gap, but those fans may even flock to Marvel Rivals to check them out. And since the majority of them have only recently made their MCU debut, there will likely be loads of stories and costumes for NetEase Games to tap into for years to come.
