Destiny 2’s Tonic Controversy Explained

Destiny 2’s community recently discovered a disheartening issue with Tonics, which sparked a big controversy.

On Reddit, user Chobwokk shared images of their custom Destiny 2 character that bears resemblance to Crucible Knight Ordovis from Elden Ring. Starting from the brass-colored armor to the horned helmet, the talented player incorporated certain distinguishable traits of the Crucible Knight into their Guardian. The custom Titan also sports intricate designs on its armor and wears prominent shoulder plates, similar to the Elden Ring boss. Besides showing off their creation, the Destiny 2 enthusiast also shared the armor pieces and shaders they used for recreating the look. The Ordovis-like character was created using various armor pieces, namely Lucent Night Helm, Iron Intent Gauntlets, Iron Intent Plate, Atavistic Idol Greaves, and Wing Discipline. On all these armor pieces, the Omnichronia shader was applied to achieve the final result.

Naturally, the Crucible Knight Ordovis-themed custom character received plaudits from others in the DestinyFashion subreddit. One of those users congratulated Chobwokk for creating the impressive Guardian, whereas another user jokingly called the character “Big Brass Barry.” Interestingly, this isn’t the first time a Destiny 2 player has modeled their Guardian after a boss from Elden Ring and other Soulsborne games. Popular characters, such as Malenia and the Hunter, have been recreated in the free-to-play multiplayer game before.
