Carx Drift Racing Car Driving Game, Carx Drift Racing

Developed by CarX Technologies, CarX Drift Racing 3 is a cross-platform drift racing simulator and the latest installment in the legendary CarX series. In this game, you can learn the fundamentals of drifting, build and customize your drift cars, and race on iconic car tracks. With that said, the game is equally challenging as it is enjoyable, and is not as easy as it looks. But don’t worry! In this CarX Drift Racing 3 Beginners Guide, I’ll share with you some useful tips and tricks to help you get started and improve your gameplay experience. Additionally, if you are still skeptical about the game, you can check out our full review of the game and decide accordingly.

Gameplay Overview

Let’s begin with the gameplay overview of CarX Drift Racing 3, followed by basics to help you understand the different features and mechanics, what the game has to offer, game modes, and more. However, must remind you again that the game is not that easy to master at first but that’s what makes it more fun according to me, as drifting in the real world is also tough.

The game features a wide variety of cars, inspired by iconic JDM, American, and European car brands and models. You can even purchase, customize, and drift around the Kami Road or Ebisu in the iconic Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86, which is called Kyoyo E86 Touge Rush in the game, but looks the same.

While the cars aren’t officially licensed, the game offers licensed, popular race tracks, including Ebisu, NürburgringADM Raceway, and Dominion Raceway at launch. Any car enthusiast, especially Porsche lovers, will recognize the iconic Nürburgring race track, originally situated in Germany. You can go all out on this race track with stunning European cars, which is a dream of many in real life.

You can drift around freely without any restrictions in the Free Ride and Test Ride modes. However, if you want the thrill and challenge, you can go for Tandem Races, which is very fun, or participate in the Top32 championships.

To unlock all these modes, apart from Free Ride and Test Ride, you will have to complete the objectives in the Single Campaign mode, which consists of five chapters where you can learn the history and basics of drifting, and it is very challenging to say the least. By completing the races and objectives, you will gain fans, which unlocks additional features, locations, sponsors, and more.

CarX Drift Racing 3 Basics

Tuning

Car customization has always been a strong point of the CarX games, and this game is no exception. You can play around with 60 iconic car bodies and 3000 kits, to build your drift project car, all inspired by iconic JDM, American, and European brands. While the game couldn’t introduce licensed cars, the vehicles present in the game are very similar to their real-life inspirations.

The customization and tuning process is very easy, although you have to play the single campaign mode to gain access to some features, such as Swap and Tuning, Body and Rims, Suspension and Dynostand, and Painting and Livery. In addition to fine-tuning your car, you can also repair its main nodes and body, which requires a few minutes based on the extent of damage the car took.

Cars

This car drifting and racing game features some sick-looking cars, mostly based on iconic JDM cars. They are well-designed and thanks to the damage system, they look more cool while drifting and colliding with various objects.

Your next car, Joe’s MST90, unlocks when you gain 15 fans. Apart from these two, you can purchase additional cars from the store. You might one to get the Kyoto E86 Touge Rush or the Nishimo S14 Japanese Razor based on the Nissan Silvia S14, which looks way too good but quite expensive.

Race Tracks

If you didn’t know already, the game features popular, officially licensed race tracks from around the world, including Ebisu in the Asia and Oceania region, Nürburgring and ADM Raceway in the Europe region, and Dominion Raceway in the America region.

CarX Drift Racing 3 Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Practice drifting in Test Drive mode

You should take some time out and practice drifting in the Test Drive mode. You can freely practice here without any restrictions, and the obstacles present on the map provide a great opportunity to improve your skills faster. This will prepare you for Top32 and Tandem races.

2. Never forget to repair your car after drift sessions

As you already know, the game features a damage system that not only gives you a realistic experience when you crash in-game but also damages your car’s body and various parts. And with time, your car’s performance starts declining, which can lead to losing control or spinning out while drifting, which disqualifies you, at least in single campaigns. You need to repair your car after every session in the Tuning section for peak performance.

3. Complete the objectives in Single Campaigns

The Single Campaign mode is very important, and you shouldn’t ignore it. It features five chapters, each representing a different decade of drift history: 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. In this mode, you will not only learn how to drift and master other useful techniques but also gain various rewards and fans. Fans play a vital role in this game, as they are needed to unlock additional features and rewards.

4. Fine-tune your car with better components

While having skills is crucial in drift culture, your car and its components or parts are just as important for maximum performance. They both go hand-in-hand, so grind and collect various car parts, and fine-tune your car properly before jumping into races.

5. Watch ads to receive one random car part or paint

You should take advantage of the ads to get random car parts and paints for free. The ads refresh every 25 seconds and are not that long, so you can consider watching them if you are a free-to-play player.
