Black Ops 6 Platers Discover Hidden Nuke Easter Egg On Warhead

Black Ops 6 Platers Discover Hidden Nuke Easter Egg On Warhead

Key Takeaways

  • Black Ops 6 is chock-full of Easter Eggs, and players have discovered a new addition to the fold.
  • As it turns out, the nuke on the Warhead map is fully functional, and unloading over 200 rounds will set it off, thus ending the match.
  • Like the Nuketown Mannequin Easter Egg, this can only be triggered in private matches, though it’s a nice consolation for those who can’t hit the required 30 kills to activate a traditional nuke.

If there is one thing that Call of Duty players are good for, besides grinding the heck out of camos in Black Ops 6, it’s finding Easter Eggs. Whether it’s the Zombies Easter Egg that lets you turn into an action figure, complete with superpowers, or the one that makes the mannequins sentient on Nuketown, fans are constantly discovering new things hidden in the game.

That said, this particular Easter Egg took fans a lot longer to figure out as Warhead has been available since launch. Still, the end result is an instant nuke that doesn’t require 30 kills, but rather over 300 bullets.

The Nuke Is Alive And Real

As discovered on Reddit, as well as by several Call of Duty content creators, the nuke on the Warhead map is actually functional. Unloading a couple hundred bullets into it will actually set it off, ending the match as a traditional 30-kill, no-death nuke would in traditional multiplayer.

According to several commenters, about 200 XMG rounds should do the trick, though one user ended up unloading over 300 rounds altogether. In other words, your mileage may vary when it comes to how much firepower is needed to set it off.

Additionally, just like the sentient mannequin Easter Egg in Nuketown, this particular Easter Egg also appears to be limited to private matches only. This is likely to prevent players from abusing it in public matches, as well as an attempt to keep the sanctity of the actual 30-kill nuke in place.

Still, if you’re like this writer and have never had the requisite skill to deploy a nuke the old-fashioned way, then this is a nice consolation. Even if it requires a metric ton of ammo and can only be done with friends or by yourself, it’s a nice way to feel like you accomplished one of Call of Duty’s most legendary feats.
