How Yuki Tabata Started Black Clover
Yuki Tabata has been part of the manga industry for a long time. He started working when he was just 20 years old, and, at the time, he found work as an assistant. At one point, Yuki Tabata decided to start his own series. His Hungry Jokers got a brief run but was ultimately canceled.
Following this failure, Yuki Tabata decided to alter a few things, including the protagonist’s personality. Black Clover started serializing in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 2015. The run continued until August 2023, after which it moved to Jump Giga in December 2023. In terms of sales, Black Clover has sold 19 million copies. However, it is worth noting the report is dated, and the new number is likely to be higher.
